I have to agree about LH. The hard product for business class is poor but I have enjoyed the staff and the catering. The staff on occassions have gone above and beyond what I expected for service and having FRA as my base in Europe, I can get to where i need to go with LH. It would be great if they had a true business class product as I experience in the rest of the world, but it would require all airlines to change, as as Josh said, they arent going to change what they have been doing for a long time. When FRA had to close the airport due to snow and there was so many people turning up the next day trying to get flights out, it was great to see LH staff handing out water and snacks to the extremely long queues of passengers. People werent getting angry or frustrated, and the staff were always providing information and helping out. It was a new experience for me, but it was great customer service.

Air France is a shame of the country, honestly. Constant luggage loss for business class travellers, unbelievable

When people are able to pay 10 pounds for some flights, the bottom is going to drag down the top. Its the unfortunate or fortunate, the state of competition in the european flight market. All depends how you look at it. Other than food and drink, business class within europe isn't worth the money.

I will never fly with a Chinese company anymore. I dont want to travel via a dictatorship country were people are suppressed and internet is not available for the population. This company flies over Russia..in the meantime other companies have to fly a different route..So there is no fair competition ... travelers should realize that.

you are right a voucher should be issues. But unless you get a mileage redemption would not pay for Lufthy business class sorry

I avoid Lufthansa specifically because of these awful seats. Business or Economy, it doesn't matter, I'd rather sit on a hard wood bench. They're horrible.

I used to love flying with Lufthansa. The customer service was already bad before the pandemic. It’s sad to see that Lufthansa doesn’t want to improve.

The only reason I want to fly on Lufthansa is specifically to fly on their 747 and to go to Germany

I flew them once transatlantic but since then I kept seeing news about Lufthansa striking (repeatedly it seemed) so I wouldn't book with them. That kind of uncertainty is not something one needs. Good to hear a positive review and great comments for the cabin crew.

Confirmed your review. We tried flying with Qatar Airways for the first time from Dallas to BKK in January 2024 as it was ranked the world’s top airline. It was a long flight with the worst flying experiences. The only thing we enjoyed was the Qatar Airport. Fortunately our return flight was not them.

If they said "where available" for the lounge, they're off the legal hook, but as you suggested, they should have issued a restaurant voucher to provide the expected Business Class Experience. It seems that the Lufthansa Azores team is not on the ball.

You should do the Business class experience from the Stuttgart's airport. I pay Business class every time(lounge access included), but there is no lounge at the airport. It closed for "renovation" in 2019 and it is still closed to this day in 2024. 5 years without a lounge and no compensation ever from the airlines to the customers.

That seat looks so uncomfortable. At least with BA you have the middle table and adjustable headrest.

The question of paid lounge access beeing unusable due to no lounge available should be answered with a cash refund in the hight of an paid one-time-lounge access. But good luck to explain this to LH customer service :D

Dear Josh About your queries i totally agree with you: if tickets are sold as EuroBusiness class, your are untitle to lounge access. For small airports without this service, voucher system should be provided, at least (local sales manager should recommend this option to LH HQ). Another option is to inform pax in advance about the lack of local service provided. Thanks for your videos around the world.

I flew lh from Frankfurt to San Jose Costa Rica last year and wasn’t impressed I was business class, cabin on a340 was 2-2-2 when they came round for food I was napping but woke up when person net to me was served their meal, the flight crew didn’t ask me if I wanted anything now I was awake even a drink. The 2nd meal had ingredients I couldn’t eat due to allergies all I got for a 12 hour flight was a bottle of water!!!!!! Compare that to KLM on a flight Schipol to Quito where due to food offered having ingredients I couldn’t eat, the flight attendant offered and made me a soup from her own personal supply

This is typical when flying from holiday destinations which has less frequent flights per week. Less service, maybe LH should sell these tickets under a different name🤷🏻‍♂️

i feel so sorry about my country's current situation and it's getting worse. Oh boy! Thanks for the review Josh. I'm flying from Mid East back to US on board LH in Business. TBH I wanted to fly 747 possibly one last time before they retire them but the 4.5 hour initial leg to Frankfurt is considered EU Business also on the A320 Neo. First world problems I guess.

Nowadays Scamhansa is just a Glorified Ryanair for what concerns European Flights, in economy you now a have to pay for coffee, I often travel FRA-LIN, Lufthansa doesn’t make any sense, costs almost twice as ita and you get NOTHING on board, while on Ita you get Snack, Drinks and usb ports

Which part of "where available" which is literally on the screen is not clear? There literally is no lounge in the airport, so it does not meet the "where available" criteria.

I like the business class product idea, i am sure it will work at the right price perhaps a little less than $1,000. My take about the business class seat arrangement is, it is the wrong type. Each BC seat should have window access and the IFE should have been connected to the seat.

I was surprised when I was first time business class in Germany, that was in 2012. I learn the lesson so I won’t buy any business class inside Europe. In Asia, most business class is “real business class”, bigger seat and better meal service, of course including lounge access!
