We decided to strap a Kingtech 310 jet engine to the back of a 2011 Honda CBR 250. The jet engine can produce up to 75lbs of force, and considering an EDF with only 20lbs of force took one of our bicycles to 80km/h ... I think it will add a lot of power to this bike! It's kind of like a GTA 5 Oppressor in real life! Maybe we should add wings...
We will be testing it on a dragstrip next video, and the goal will be to compare the bikes performance in neutral, with the jet engine, versus the bike's stock engine. And then of course, we'll run both at the same time and see what kind of top speed we can get!

What did he actually do? All he did was slap a small jet engine on the back of a bike. Everything they build is done with parts that have already been patented long before they were probably even born. They just repurpose parts for ridiculous projects for the entertainment of kids.

The speeds needed for takeoff are relative to the motion of the air (indicated airspeed). A headwind will reduce the ground speed needed for takeoff, as there is a greater flow of air over the wings. Typical takeoff air speeds for jetliners are in the range of 240-285 km/h (130-154 ; 149-177 ), so if you aimed that a bit upwards and did a wheelie, you could fly

You should only do engineering as a passion. I am a junior at my school with very respectable mechanical engineering program. Since a kid I loved designing, building and putting/taking apart things. Later I discovered a passion for physics and since I am a first gen university student from my family I asked around if there is a profession that combines all of my passions in to one. Bamn! Here I am now. A video shouldn't decide a career path for you. Only you know what you really want. Ask yourself why I want to be an engineer, if you can't answer that without saying"because of money" you need to look elsewhere.

Check out PBS turbines, they make a turboshaft TS100. 160kw output. This would be a perfect engine for this bike! If you make it refined enough I'm sure people would buy it.

Just imagine the thought process their heads go through: "Hmmm, I think I can get a bike and not speed on it.... Hold up... How about we put a jet engine on the back of it." "Then we can take a Styrofoam head on a stick with our new merch on it! Durability test on the hat! I don't see how this could possible go wrong..." I just picture them sitting there and this being their conversations.... then "You know whats better then one jet engine? TWO JET ENGINES!!!"

To be honest. If you want to make real money. You should sell small gadgets on the internet. For example the Batman rappel system. Not the gun thingy. I know I would buy. But just simple gadget stuff I know you could make it.
