Omg, and having just recovered from a concussion. Head injuries are no joke. I'm 2 years post concussion and still struggle. It's changed everything. Wishing him well in his recovery.

As a Jets fan, I really miss him on the ice. He was such a good player, and to have his career end like this, it's just awful. Hopefully he stays well in the future.

You’d think Ehlers being a pro hockey player can shoot a puck a bit better than that. I know it’s an accident but come on Ehlers, your shot has always been weak.

Not trying to victim blame, but anyone who plays hockey would think what Little was doing beforehand was pretty strange. He throws a pass back to the point and moves behind the net. Instead of continuing down to the corner to open up a passing lane, or moving to the front of the net to set up a screen (where he'd be more prepared to avoid a shot), he just goes into a slow glide as if to admire where the puck went. He was standing up straight, completely unprepared for any hockey play. Hopefully he's okay, but I kind of wonder if he'd fully recovered from his last concussion.

Devils fan here, that was a brutal shot, hope he's not out for too long. This brings me back to when Jason Arnott took a nasty puckshot right above his eye back when he was playing for Edmonton. You never want to see this happen to any player.

I remember when this happened to dzingel almost ripped his ear off. Scary hope he’s back soon. Crazy enough dzingel returned to that game and threw a big hit. I remember thinking how?

Someone please tell why NHL players don't wear the extra protection around their ears on helmets like the rest of the hockey world?

Oh man. Poor guy. Makes you wonder why they don't have full face, ear protected helmets in 2020. Sound transfer through a closed helmet shouldn't be an issue with current technology.

And we see guys take pucks to the face and side of the head, and they may miss a period, or maybe a few games or a few weeks, or a month. But this puck struck Little just right, in the side of the head, and perforated his ear drum along with other effects, and he misses the rest of the season, and won't be able to play this upcoming season, and might not ever be able to come back. Such a shame. Jon Klingberg took a puck to the neck on this same night, and he only missed two weeks.

It’s not official that he’s done hockey for good, I don’t know where people are getting that, but it’s definitely gonna be awhile before he would even step back on the ice again

Oddly enough, I don’t think he has a concussion. He saw it coming, it looks like it hit the ear flap and not in the brain area, he had a (whopping!) 25-30 stitches, and he wasn’t knocked out. I could be wrong, but let’s hope I’m right.
