think us (rams) not moving up also worked out for us bc now our defensive front looks much stronger than it would've been if we got Bowers, although he would've been sick.

If Olu was gone they probably do this deal. He was clearly a guy they didn’t want to miss out on though. I’m happy with how things played out. I’ll admit though Bowers would have been fun to watch in LA.

In my opinion I would've taken this deal. Purely because at 19 / 52 we could've got Fautanu and Adonai Mitchell. I believe the latter will be special in this league and was a bit of a victim of the character question. Or if we preferred someone like Brian Thomas Jr. in R1 and gone with Rosengarten or Fisher at 52. I like Corely but I'm more cautious about his year 1 impact as a WR in a SB run year. Of course Fautanu / Rosengarten / Fisher aren't as good as Fashanu but those three are good depth options with potential as future starters and we get what I think would've been a better WR prospect. That being said what we did was still good this is just an alternative scenario in hindsight I think would've been a slight improvement.

Well, clearly the Rams would have done the dea at 11 as well after the vikings trade since they wanted Bowers. So JD could have had the Vikings picks AND 52. That said, I love Olu in green.

Jets should have moved from 11 to 19 and taken the extra pick-- no question. Jets need talent. They could have taken Jared Verse at 19 and then had 52. But... this is why the Jets are the Jets. There were other OL available at 19.

The Jimmy Johnson trade value chart has pick 10 at 1,300 points. Pick 19 and 52 are worth 1,255 points combined. Way I see it, if you're asking a team to trade down that much in the 1st, it has to be so good it would be bordering on irresponsible to refuse it. If they included pick 83 or 99 then it would be interesting. But with just 19 and 52, with 2 lineman off the board, and probably your 1st or 2nd ranked OL still on the board, it just isn't going to cut it.

Smart no trade. Could have gotten more from them. But also at 19 the talent pool had fallen off a bit already
