I think what you said is accurate. With so much future cap needing to go to that 2022 class, I doubt we’ll be too active in the UFA market so most of these comp picks should stick. I think Reed is definitely a goner. Jets will try to build up one of their young guys this year and worst case invest a high pick into CB next year.

Changing coaching staffs and GM now would be the absolutely worst thing they could possibly do in my opinion. These guys have transformed this team, but changing rosters is easier and quicker than changing culture. And this team was desperately in need of a change in culture. Unfortunately, that takes time, and time is something that is really hard to give someone at this level. I hope Woody gives Douglas and Saleh extensions asap so that just stops being an issue. Veterans now want to come to the Jets. That alone is such a huge change in the right direction, and it's because of these guys. Changing staff every few years is a recipe for losing. These guys have earned an extension, and if they keep making the kind of progress we have seen so far, they will be fine. Just my own perception of course, but I have been following this team since 1966, and this has been their mistake over and over again. This team desperately needs the sort of stability we've seen in places like Pittsburgh and Green Bay over the last couple of decades.

@jamesdunn9609 I'd give Douglas an extension now, but take a wait and see approach with Saleh. We know what Saleh is, but need to see if he can win with a real qb.
