I'm Aussie and a huge fan of both Jett and Jeffrey, but I think Jett would struggle to beat Jeffrey on the sand, Southwick was a mid-level rough sand track at the end of the day in comparison to the roughest sand tracks in Europe, on a hard pack surface I think they would be fairly even. Even though herlings was super fast at ironman and blew everyone away in 2016/17 and hadn't ridden the track before with only 3-4 days on that bike. So as much as I like to think they would be closely matched on a hard pack track I may be wrong with herlings. He might still be faster?!

Hey Matt, when a fast guy like Jett makes everybody look slow (comparatively) do other riders actively study what he does and try to emulate him? Or do they just try to go out and hammer stuff harder the next time? I can see it being a big kick in the pride so have to unlearn what you know, and try to imitate somebody that clearly does things better. I can't figure out exactly what he's doing to make the tracks look so smooth. His rear wheel seems to track the ground almost perfectly and his bike isn't pogoing around like everybody else, even Chase to a degree. Is that a function of a radically different setup? Or mainly his riding style and control? Also, his corners are arced so perfectly, he rarely stuffs into a berm, and it seems like he uses the brakes more sparingly and gently than other guys. His peak speed is not really hugely more than any of the other top guys I suspect, but his average speed is incredible.
