At the end of today’s video Luna really said 🤛 🐾 😛 😂 thank you everyone for watching! I was a little nervous to talk about the topic in today’s video, I always try to highlight the amazing aspects of being a flight attendant but sometimes I don’t talk enough about the hard days. I value transparency with my subscribers and I don’t want to pretend or hide my feelings after a bad day (ANY job can have bad days). J, It's o.k. to have bad thoughts/feelings. You were tired, someone was nasty to you, you were very hungry. These all add up. Maybe next time do a self check and and recognize, 'oh, it's the fatigue, the other persons 'tude, and the hunger combining and affecting me after a long day'. Flying is fatiguing. Your job is physically exhausting. I am friends with a woman who is the most positive person on the face of the planet and while she loved the benefits she just wouldn't do the flight attendant life. She tried it, was excellent at it, but, she was always sleep deprived. You looked cute in that Target top. That candy cane tree!

Thank you Julia , one of the many qualities that I myself and I’m sure many of your other subscribers really appreciate about you is the authenticity and transparency you always display. In today’s world of social media of highlights and filters, it’s nice to see those that are just REAL, lol. Good, bad, ugly and wonderful. Life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows but sometimes it is lol. Good days and bad days. Your channel is a reminder that it doesn’t matter who you are, every human goes through em’. Julia, another comment. When you are having a rough day, likely because one of passengers is giving you a hard time. Just remember there is 1 of them and now 141K of us, that will cover your back any time. Continue to be who you are, and you will be fine.

That was a long trip indeed with all the very early wake ups 😮. Exactly what you said you just never know what someone going through but i know exactly what you mean its not a nice feeling for your self .( i use to work in an adventure park and i had some very difficult customers ) i had to teach my self to let go , put it behind me. Thinking "just because you have a bad day, it doesn't mean you have a bad life" is a good attitude - you can also keep in mind that a bad day can improve by the end of it. Sometimes exhaustion and sleep deprivation alone can put you a bad mood for no reason, so be nice to yourself - everybody has bad days. Thank you for sharing!

Which is why I so much prefer 11am start times and working through the evenings. Starting on after shifts are much better. Waking up gradually is much better

Sorry you had an unhappy passenger! I tend to judge people by how they treat other people who are just doing their job trying to serve them the best they can, particularly, when they have not personally done anything wrong... That being said, it is part of your job to try to placate them the best you can... I'm sure you did that wonderfully and can be proud of yourself for that! Hopefully, it didn't get you down too much... Maybe it all balances out since you got your coffee paid for out of the blue and got happy vibes from that! Those early mornings and the late, late nights can really do a number on you. Being a flight attendant is not an easy job, but, as you say, it certainly has some perks along the way, too! It's always nice to come home to the Luna-tic and Eric! Happy for you!

Hi Julia I also work for a major airline and yes it can be very stressful honestly I can't remember the number of times I've actually cried because of something that occurred at work, I'm sorry but some people are just mean or Lord knows what they are going through. However, at the end of the day I'm truly grateful for my job and for the many experiences that can only make us stronger. Stay strong as you are so loved and blessed. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you get plenty of rest.

I can’t imagine a passenger being angry at someone as nice as you. But good point about being understanding because you don’t know what kind of problems that person might be having. And I usually choose the inner bed if the weather is hot or cold outside. If not and the view is nice I go for the outer bed.

I recommend that next time you meet a frustrated passenger that you ask "What are you frustrated about?" or "What are the reason that you are frustrated" so the passenger can answer I am frustrated about ..., In this way both the passenger and you can end the trip or travel in a good way. Then the passenger can express their frustration and your day will be better, you can keep your good mental health even if you listen to a bad story or happening in the passengers life.

12:06 am PST I always choose the bed the the TV is facing toward better Lol. I feel for you on those early shows - I had a 4 day trip recently that it was getting up at 3 am each day and one morning it was on the east coast and we ended the day on the west coast. I was so tired!

(1:52) i would always choose the bed away from the window for safety reasons. First it’s closer to the door to evacuate when needed, and if a hurricane, tornado, or earthquake should be happening you will not be injured by the braking of the glass. Now many modern hotels have these tempered glass panes, but you can’t tell so I stick with the inner bed. Also, the bed away from the window will be quieter from the noise outside. I was in Geneva, Switzerland and my hotel room was across the runway of the airport. So going in deeper into the room added that much more quiet. Now the bed closer to the window or balcony I will sit on and look upside to see the sunset or sunrise or what have you of nice views.

I am Italian myself and I must say that those pictures were inviting, to say the least. One day I'll try Italian food in the US, I'm not ready yet 🤣 Anyway, I'm used to bad days at work a lot more I'm used to good days. I always try to leave all the frustration in the same place it creates, I am a lot more than my office job, my job itself won't be effected by these small things or problems...it'll be better sooner than I think. Question for Julia, others: On the whole rude passenger issue, do you think that airlines should update their dress requirements like in nice restaurants? I've been looking around and found that passengers are less likely to be rude and derogatory to the flight crew, and be more respectful if they (and others) are well dressed. For me, it's always a dress shirt, trousers and my 5.11 boots (I swear by those as proper airplane footwear) and a sport coat of some kind, even on Southwest Airlines. I'm a bit biased because I'm a proponent of bringing back decorum in aviation, but I'm not asking for full suits & ties or tuxedos, just what you would wear to a nice steakhouse restaurant in the city. If you can afford to get on a plane, you should also be able to put on something nice. Why not?

Awwww you are awesome Julia. Just so you know, as someone on the autism spectrum who also has ADHD, I (and my husband) appreciate you (and all flight attendants , Pilots, gate agents, etc). When we flew a few months ago (your airline 😊), they let us do early boarding. I love to fly… wanted to be a flight attendant & also have flown a plane… long story)…. but anyway, love flying but don’t care for the stuff that goes with it. And boarding is anxious as it is an arduous process for some of us on the spectrum. 🫤 I’m a bit awkward and clumsy at times (it’s a spectrum thing regarding Dyscalculia). But everyone made our experience so easy. Flight attendants have always been wonderful. I’ve never been anything but in awe. And yes. Grumpy people = they are having a bad day/ week/ month/ year. Tis the season for negative customers. You are absolutely right. It is not your fault. Some people just have the need to try to crush others. Those of us in customer service take the brunt of it. I just try to remain thankful for all that I have.

No matter people's problems, they should still be kind to others, but since unfortunately the world isn't like that always, you Julia, handled it right, still were nice and served them as nicely as you could.....so nice Erik's/Eric's (sp) is in town ~ Happy Thanksgiving to you all in PA and Happy Thanksgiving to your parents in NV and your sister in UT or maybe she went to NV to your parent's home.....whatever, HAPPY BLESSED THANKSGIVING TO EVERYTHING! REST AND RELAX JULIA TOO! Oh and to your question, I/we always pick a bed when it's queens in a hotel furthest from the a/c unit or air blowing down or out on us as you never know of germs in a hotel vent system no matter how clean and wonderful the room is, and/or the filters when they were changed last.

I always admire your positive outlook - even on the less than great days. sorry about your sandwich on top of the passenger... but that Italian food definitely looks like it would help make a day better! and to answer your question, I always stay in the bed farthest from the door. haha. (: I'm a big supporter of the organization TWLOHA, and today's affirmation on their app is "show up for your life, it is, and still can be, beautiful." I hope you're having a wonderful day and get to celebrate Thanksgiving with some loved ones this weekend!

I am hoping they give us the contract and pay we deserve so we don’t have to resort to striking. Flight attendants are living on food stamps with the cost of inflation, I love my job and the company I work for BUT I will always stand with my union and co workers. ♥️ thank you for flying us!

When you were getting ready at the start I go "This hotel room looks SO familiar" Then I go that looks like our hotel room from cancun because of how unique (and unprivate)the whole bathroom LOL. So I'm glad I wasn't crazy!

We had to be at Nashville's airport almost a week ago at 5:00 which meant getting up at 3:30 and catching a shuttle at 4. Made it home to Portland!

NGL, Julia. I definitely share the experience of worrying that I will sleep through the early alarm. Matter of fact, I'm guilty of rushing for flights as a passenger because I overslept through the alarm. The downside of day trips from San Francisco to Los Angeles for work.
