Cover your container with aluminum foil, throw in the silver metal you want to clean, add baking soda, and throw it on hot water. @mar4oz As far as I know, it has to do with the solder connections for all the electronics. Silver is one of the best naturally occurring electrical conductors. The reason it isn't used in computers (being cheaper than the gold that gets used) is that it is way more reactive and therefore doesn't have the longevity that gold does.
