Agree.i dont know why people think jewelry as a good investment when they pay the mark-up fees for each piece.we buy jewelries (a made piece product) to wear,to love and increase confidence.not for investment or to think that were gonna sell it in the future.we buy it to keep and put sentimental value on it.if you want to invest,invest in a bullion pieces or nuggets because those you won't pay much for a labor piece compare when they make it into a jewelries.

platinum why would any body want platinum on there finger or on there wrist or around there neck they make car parts out of platinum gold the way to go and if you want platinum get 14K yellow gold and rhodium plate it and it will look like platinum like a lot of jewelers do 24K is really soft but if it bends can be straightened out where as platinum can't it holds that shape

Platinum and the price of it alone, is a scam. It has never been worth nearly as much as gold in all of history, or even viewed as money. It is a first world, 21st century scam. Not all shiny rocks have value. Don’t fall for the platinum scheme.

@@apr194828 just buy stainless steel jewelries if they like platinum.very similar in color and won't tarnish but platinum is just heavier.white gold (rhodium coated/plated) is very similar color to 999 silver if both are polished.

I'd question the quality of your jewelry if it's breaking. Gold is very malleable. It'll bend and stretch a lot before breaking. I own a lot of 24k gold jewelry and wear a ring regularly. My wife wears rings, earrings, and bracelets that are 24k and we've never had any break, or bend for that matter. Gold is a corrosion proof metal. It'll last forever.

PB PB lol do you own 24k gold jewelry to know that it breaks? I think the people in the west do not know so every person I meet here says it’s too soft when in Asia where I’m from, people have worn it for thousands of years without breaking them, yes it’s not as strong as other metals or your 18k gold but it’s not too soft to wear, you just have to wear it with care and it also depends on how thick your jewelry is, if you spent more money on it, it’s thicker thus less likely to break.

Sushmita yes, had many 24K pieces break - all of my 24K pieces are from the East - the worst have been necklaces + bracelets - it's so beautiful so I don't want to melt to 18K but zero issues with 18K and I do have a lot of jewelry (love it since little def more than bags!) most of my items are not very thick yet not thin, stronger than dainty for sure - I have some pendants that are fine but would prob look silly on 18K chain although never tried! will try it but doubt color will match! also, I wear my jewelry every day so prob not best for 24K!

mitchalex hey there! just saw your comment! 24K is from East - bought in Turkey, China + Japan, all with friends (who are locals) so def not a quality issue - none of pieces are really thick but not thin, middle - it's necklaces + bracelet chains that have broken and wear every day when I wear them, I have a bunch to be fixed actually and I went to a jeweler in South Florida (I didn't know them) to get a quote to fix and he was shock to see 24K! would never leave any jewelry with unknown jeweler - have any of you read about Palm Beach, FL jeweler? I'll try to post back article as scary what can happen! hope y'all are staying safe, healthy + happy!
