As Norman Finklestein has said, and said plainly "They (the Palestinian people) have the right to hate the people who have ruined their lives (Israel, and it's patron, the United States)". This is undeniably a core motivation behind ALL resistance movements, and though it's not 'pretty' , it is perfectly LEGITIMATE. It is a SANE response to historic and ongoing oppression and suppression.

My grandparents and great-grandparents were Indian from Bengal and we only started calling ourselves bangladeshis from 1971... That didn't mean we didn't exist or don't exist as the formation of nation-states doesn't necessarily mean you are not a people with an identity with a culture with a heritage or with a legacy or footprint in your land. Also as far as I understand with the fall of the Habsburgs there were also the emergence and newly formed nation states in Europe so therefore previously changing borders doesn't mean the people did not have a national identity heritage legacy and connection with their land.

Human rights, liberty, and freedom aren't given on a silver platter, and they're not taken overnight. Without hope, More than 1.5 million Palestinians in 1948 would've vanished. Holding on to every single grain of sand on the homeland; having faith, and never giving in/giving up is what is keeping the People of Palestine alive. If you only know how many millions of Palestinian families were broken; how many hopes and dreams were shattered; how much Palestinian blood was spilt since 1920, you'll be surprised how much Palestinians are totally in love with their homeland. Yes, hope, hard work, knowledge and patience.

The Wanted 18 is a great documentary about the village of Beit Sahour, 1987 They bought 18 cows to produce their own milk so they did not have to buy milk from Israel. They also stopped payingctaxes to Israel, their occupier. It was a peaceful attempt to assert their right for self-determination. This is also when Hamas came to be after Israel crushed the Palestinians. The cows were considered a threat to Israel's security.

Agreed! It shows how ridiculous this has been, and they are forced to live under conditions that nobody else will accept. In both Gaza and the West Bank, they have made it impossible for the Palestinians to produce enough food for themselves. Before 1948, they produced enough food to export some to other countries.

It’s absolutely right. For a while there, the U.S. couldn’t talk about anything except “free and fair elections.” Right up until they got the “free and fair” results.

The Global North, led by the US, will only accept democratic elections, when it suits their purpose... Then it's free and fair. Throughout history, they have done this in Latin America, Africa, and the Indian sub continent.

I haven’t checked in for a bit. Will catch up on your videos tomorrow. Just driving back to Melbourne from a protest in Canberra and meeting with the Greens. Only political party in Australia that supports Palestine. ALP in Australia is a joke unfortunately.

I went to a rally on Sunday in Brisbane. We marched from Queens Gardens to the ABC offices where we protested.. There was maybe 1500 people marching. The ABC news reported that there was a few hundred people and that we marched to Southbank.

@@dianacasey6002I take offence. I want to vote green, but not if the vote is sequenced up to the ALP because I refuse to vote for a party that endorses genocide. Preferential voting doesn't mean I get to choose who the vote goes to; it means that the party gets to choose who their votes gets allocated to if they lose the vote. It gets sequenced to their choice. Greens always side with ALP

This is really interesting. It will be great to get a video documenting how Hamas originated and evolved. It's not as one-note and evil as the West has made it out.

I just finished listening to the whole interview it's amazing thank you I would just say an explanation of genocide is this. ...Allport's Scale. Allport (1954) created a measure of prejudice in society based on events and attitudes surrounding World War II (WWII). What became known as Allport's Scale of Prejudice consists of five stages: antilocution, avoidance, discrimination, physical attack, and extermination. Society is made up of three groups withdrawers acquiescers and resisters. The silent majority of those who withdrawal and it is because of this group and those who actively support the genocide which allows this to happen.
