Excited to present our guest on the show today, Mohsin Raza Khan. He is an Associate Professor at The School of International Affairs, Jindal Global University. He is a former Chevening Scholar and an FRM from GARP, NY.
Religion is a complex and varied phenomenon that has played a significant role in human history. The history of religion is difficult to trace because it has evolved over time and varies greatly across different cultures and societies. Over time, organized religions with complex belief systems and hierarchies developed, including the major world religions of today such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and more. These religions have shaped the course of human history and continue to influence the way people live and think today.
Hope you enjoy this episode.

Think for a while🤔.The God we workship daily should exists really & make sense🙂.Otherwise all your prayers & time will get wasted🥺. Worshipping living/non living things that can't see, hear or respond to your prayers will not attain you Moksha😱. Workshipping one true God or Allah alone directly by yourself in Islam is the first step to attain God's satisfaction in afterlife🙂👍. "And they worship Something other than Allah(God) that can neither harm them nor benefit them, and they say, "These(idols☻,cross✝️,living🐄, non living☀️, ancestors☠ etc) are our intercessors with Allah ".O Muhammad! Say to them, "Do you inform Allah of something He does not know in the heavens or on the earth?" (Quran 10:18). God doesn't want anything in between. He is all hearing all knowing.Already we exists on earth & free to do our will only by his mercy. He will send glad tidings if you call/pray him directly by yourself because all humans are dignified.Only One true God or Allah is "worthy of worship".Nothing equals God. If we equate something to true God,then we are committing eternal sin(Shirk) & went against eternal truth 🤔🤔🤔 ,thus spoiling our afterlife😱😱😱.

Jews and christians including their prophets worshipped Yahweh including their prophets Why are you worshipping a pagan God allah?? Ranveer bhai, Hindu have devas and paramatma. devas (eg: indira, agni, varuna) are god but Paramatma (Brahama, Vishnu, Maheshwara) there is no alternate word in english dictionary so they start using GOD for whomever we worship.

Brahma, Vishnu and maheshwara, they're not paramatma. They correspond to srishti, stiti and laya.which means every physical matter is created, developed and degenerated ( or destroyed). Paramatma is the one that is non dual,it can never be two,it continues to be in a consistent state that doesn't change. Paramatma is defined as Purnamada purnamidam...... Etc. Please refer Upanishads. All the physical matters are subject to change, and constantly and continuously changing, this is the gist of Veda and Upanishads.

Indian jew here! Judaism today is centred around the Hebrew Bible and the Talmud. I’d like to start by saying that the most important text is the Torah, which are the five books believed to be penned by Moses. The Torah is written on sheep or deer’s skin and is formed to a big scroll. Then we have what’s called the Tanakh. The Tanakh are compilations of writings of other Jewish prophets. Within the Tanakh, the first five books are the Torah. The Tanakh is what Christians call “Old Testament”. Then there is the Talmud. I’ll explain Talmud later. Judaism practiced today is known as rabbinic Judaism. Judaism is a very ritual-based religion, just like Hinduism. Much of what our people did religiously revolved around the Temple that stood in Jerusalem. It is also important to note that during this time, there were many factions within the Jewish community. the Saducees who were the Temple priests, associated with the Romans and adopted many of their ways. The Sadducees only believed in the written Torah and not the oral Torah. Then there were the Pharisees. These were the learned men from the common poor. They believed in the written Torah and the oral Torah. What is the oral Torah? The Torah often leaves much room for questions as it does not fully explain many laws, stories or teachings. To fill in the blanks, many Jews had the tradition of oral teachings. These were teachings passed down orally from generation to generation. The oral teachings expounded on the written Torah. The Pharisees were disgusted by the Sadducees and their love for gluttony. They tried to take over the importance and influence that the Saducees had over the Jewish community. When the Romans destroyed the Temple in Jerusalem and exiled majority of the Jews from their homeland, there was rising concern amongst the Jewish people that their culture, traditions, faith and religion would be lost. Without a Temple how would Judaism survive. Thus, in order to preserve Judaism, the learned scholars, often called a Rabbi, wrote down the Oral Laws. The oral laws were compiled around 500 CE, but would go on to be edited and revised for the next two centuries in now what we call the Talmud. Jews of today practice rabbinic Judaism, where our teachings are sourced from the Torah and guided by the Talmud. We no longer offer animal sacrifices as we do not have a temple any longer. Instead, these sacrifices are replaced with prayers. Jews pray three times a day- in the morning, afternoon and evening. These prayer timings coincide with the animal sacrifices that would’ve occurred in the Temple everyday. These are just the basic surface level run through I’ve written. I’d highly recommend bringing in a Jewish scholar on your show. I believe you’re in Mumbai. I reckon you invite the rabbi of Chabad Mumbai (also called the Nariman Lighthouse that was attacked by terrorists years ago).

It's good to ask questions and be curious about the world and life just like you. By the way did you know there are Arab Christians who refer to God as Allah? "They say Allah hu Akbar" but they are christians. "Allah" is just an arabic word for the word "God" in english and Allah hu Akbar just means "God is great". Allah doesn't refer to any specific deity or a different God that belongs to only muslims. So people did know about God before Muhammad and they called him with different names in their own languages.

Let it be known to all: Through the Holy Spirit, God has put it on me to preach to those lost in the devil's deceit! I tell ye, truly, Jesus of Nazareth is the propitiation for the whole world's sins. He is the anointed one, for he is, Jesus Christ. God the Father has raised him from the dead; who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God! Angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life: no one comes to the Father, but by him. They who believe and are baptized with the Holy Spirit shall be saved; but they who believe not shall be damned. For they who believe not on him, shall die in their sins! I tell ye now to repent of your sins, accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you'll receive the gift of the Holy Spirit upon asking the Father! There are *NO* sub-divisions of Christianity. You're either a disciple of Christ or not. A Christian is someone who follows God's word, not a religion. Who obey the Father and follow his will; not man's nor their own heart's. Unless you keep Jesus' commandments, think not the Holy Spirit will dwell within you! They who heed this message and did what was stated with an open heart to God... Read the Holy Bible (KJV) daily and every time before you read, pray to the Father and ask: "Lord I ask that you give me understanding of your word, that I interpret it the way you want me to, and none of my own. I ask you in Jesus' name, amen." 1 John 2:2 KJV 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. Acts 13:26-33 KJV 26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, *and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.* 27 *For they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him.* 28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate that he should be slain. 29 *And when they had fulfilled all that was written of him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a sepulchre.* 30 *But God raised him from the dead:* 31 And he was seen many days of them which came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses unto the people. 32 *And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,* 33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee. 1 Peter 3:22 KJV 22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him. John 14:6 KJV 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. Mark 16:16 KJV 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. John 8:24 KJV 24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins. Acts 2:38 KJV 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Luke 11:13 KJV 13 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him? John 14:21-24 KJV 21 *He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.* 22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, *If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.* 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.*

This was painful to watch, honestly. The guest makes errors that even a casual reader of Jewish and biblical history wouldn’t make. Aron was not Moses’s son. The two kingdoms were not Israel and Zion. They were Israel and Judah. Zion is a real mountain but is also used figuratively as the kingdom of god, much like mount Olympus is for Greek mythology. There is no biblical scholar I have heard of who says Judaism origin is split between Moses and Abraham. Where did he get this from? Moses is from the line of Abraham. Specifically from the tribe of Levi. It is impossible to separate Abraham and moses from the history of Judaism. He suggests that Judaism grew out of paganism gradually. This is misleading, the shma (a very important Jewish prayer) which is recorded in the book of Deuteronomy (one of the 5 books penned by Moses, the first five books of the Bible) clearly outlines the monotheistic nature of Judaism. The Torah is NOT an oral tradition that turned into a written tradition after Cyrus the great. If it were then when Daniel opens the prophecy of the coming of Cyrus, written generations before, and reads them to Cyrus. Exactly what was Daniel “reading” if nothing was written. He then suggests that the Jewish temple has Zoroastrian origins. What? Solomon built the first temple in accordance with how the tabernacle was to be built in accordance to the plans in the writings of Moses. Where did Zoroastrianism influence it? The second temple rebuilt after the Babylonian captivity is built according to the same plans. Is he talking about Melchizedek, the priest at Salem? A priest of El Elyon (another name for the god of the Bible?) how is this Zoroastrian? Confusing… He then says that Zoroaster talks about prophecies of a messiah which could explain the prophecies in Judaism. But this doesn’t take into account that the prophecies of the messiah predate contact between the medo Persians and the Jewish tribes. It also doesn’t make any logical sense that the Jews who had fastidious laws to keep them distinct and separate from their surrounding cultures (from their clothing to diet etc.) would allow outside influence upon their beliefs. Far more likely that Jewish beliefs of a coming messiah were picked up by other cultures that came into contact with the Jews. Some of these could have been just things misspoken but others are…. Theories and speculations at best, outright inaccuracies at worst. Lastly, he keeps suggesting that we don’t know for a fact that Moses or Abraham or Buddha or Jesus existed. But, what evidence is required to validate historical figures? A signed copy of their original manuscripts? A photograph? Perhaps video graphic evidence? If this is the standard of evidence to know for a fact that people in history existed then historical figures from before the invention of photography can’t be known to have existed. Maybe Marco Polo didn’t exist. Or Valmiki didn’t exist. Or Socrates and plato never existed. After all, where are their original signed manuscripts or photos or videos. Maybe all of history is a giant conspiracy by the lizard people to keep humanity down. This is not how serious scholarship is practiced. It is an excuse to not believe by invalidating the central figures of historical events.

Zarathustra was definitely a Kashmiri Brahman from India as he was an Atharvan[6], who called himself a zaotar[7], manthran[8] and datta.[9] He was referred to as an erishi[10] and ratu[11].[12] He also wore the sacred thread and dressed like a traditional Kashmiri Pandit, compiled Gāthās containing Vedic verses, worshiped Varuna (Ahura Mazda) and venerated other holy Vedic Asuras. He lived as an ascetic in a cave[13] for some time and also had other traits similar to that of an Indian Brahman, not to mention other customs similar to those of Kashmiri Hindus. Further, the fact that Zarathustra personally debated Brahman clerics (i.e., Byas, Changragacha, Gautama) from India at King Vishtaspa’s court in Balkh shows how influential Indian spiritual preachers were then, and it only supports that Zarathustra himself was one. Also, linguistically, not only were some verses he wrote direct excerpts from the Vedas but the closest languages to his own, Avestan, are Sanskrit and Kashmiri. Both, the Vedic geography of Yama's domain and the Mazdaen geography of Yima's domain correspond to an area in central Kashmir. The geographical description of Zarathustra's birthplace in the Mazdaen scriptures match Kashmir's Diti (Daitya) and Indus (Veh) rivers and Urni Jabbar (Jabr) Mountain within Baramulla district. In addition, the descriptions of neighboring regions adjacent to Airyanem Vaeja, such as Ātaro-Pātakān, Kohistan, Kangdez and Panjistan match those of places surrounding Kashmir. Apart from these places in Mazdaen scriptures being in conformity with places in and around Kashmir, the birthplace of Tonpa Shenrab is also adjacent to Zarathustra's. (That makes sense because the religions of the 2 saints are similar in their concepts dualism, cimeration, and customs such as wearing of white turbans for sages.) Ancient scholars, such as Clement of Alexandria and Ammianus Marcellinus, connecting Zarathustra to Brahmans can definitely be seen, and even in modern times Godfrey Higgins had called him "Zerdusht the Brahmin[14]."

Hinduism is also monotheistic. ParaBrahmam (supreme consciouness - formless) is the only truth/reality. All other deities are aspects of brahmam. ParaBrahmam = Paramashiva = means consciousness. Siva = conscious mind. Shakti = subconscious mind.

@srini let's take what your saying is TRUE and the Hindus are associating partners with one true God that's a blasphemy , and then even how you are worshiping your God as how he wanted you to worship him or you I.e hindu people's worship how you are comfortable with? Think and ponder upon yourself. I'm not simply saying, there are lots of religion in world and there one must be TRUE. @@Mohammedsinan122 hell fire in hinduism and dharmic religions are vastly different than hell of abrahamic religions. and god looks human because god wishes to do so. we as humans should not question his wishes for he knows better than us. God is indeed everywhere for he is reality itself. Hellfire is reality. Hellfire in Hinduism is a purificaion process which helps you learn lessons, not a place of punishment. If you've done great wrong like m*rder etc then only you are punished in naraka. Otherwise for petty sins like lying youre taught lessons on how to avoid it, just like a student is taught. Its not a bad place because it purifies you and prepares you for rebirth. Some hindus intentionally go to hell (naraka) to purify themselves because"it is through the fiery forge that the soul is refined" (Upanishads). Do not see hinduism from abrahamic lens. And no Paramatman isn't inside us because we are Atman. Its only through intense devotion and penance can we reunite with ParamAtman. Atman=Spirit, Param Atman= Supreme spirit. ParamAtman cannot reside in our body which is physical and material, ParamAtman resides only in souls. A body is just the soul's garment. It is disposable.

Good explanation. Watching related talks on You Tube, some explanation, clarification and authentic discourse with rational intent creates more questions like: 1.Would you please throw some light on if the Aramaic hymns praising Jesus in the Bible are even to this day present almost verbatim in Qur'an Verses albeit in Arabic , praising Allah! 2. Armaic was the language used by the elite and scholarly in the literature and Arabic was the prevailing language spoken by one and all! Infact Jesus spoke Armaic and in this case the elite, literary language was Hebrew! 3. So, Judaism was the earliest. Christianity was a break away , off Judaism. Islam, the latest among the three, seen by some as a plagiarised/ borrowed version of these two as well as other prevailing, regional belief systems! More a Military dispensation than a theology ? Looking forward for your follow up discussion. 👍

the Bible and history outside the Bible agree that Jews have lived there in Israel long before Christians and Muslims arrived on the scene. If any people have a "mystical" claim on Jerusalem, it is Jews. Regardless, clear and simple history favors them, which is always easier to analyze and quantify than mysticism. The history of Jerusalem cries out that the Jews owned the sacred city long before Islam came on the scene and waged wars of conquest during Muhammad’s lifetime and afterwards.

“But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! Galatians 1: “ These words were spoken by apostle Paul to the church in the year 47-48 AD. And in AD 610 Mohammad says he got a visit from Gabriel who gave him the Koran… The question here is what was Mohammad’s religion before he was visited by the angle??? I’m sure he must have been a Pegan or who knows he could have even been a Jew…

You are bound to get negative publicity if you hit the sensitive areas of society. You can't ask some random person who hasn't studied Theology / has a PHD in religion studies to talk about Judaism. In US there are literal PHD course in Judaic studies. All I wanna say is not 1 person can be specialised in topics / theme. You invited this guy to talk about Islam then get another expert who can talk about Judaism. Get speakers with credentials matching expertise field. . You excited Jewish viewers with such title to the video. Only 30% of the video deserves the "Jewish History" title.
