Superb performances by the lead and supporting casts. The personas of Mercer, Lenny, Rose, and Calum are fascinating.

I first knew of Andrew Buchan in the series, "Garrow's Law". I loved that series and was disappointed (greatly) when it was cancelled. I know Tamzin Outhwaite's previous work from "Red Cap"--also a series. I found "Red Cap" to have "cutting edge" perspectives for women. Temzin's character in Red Cap was strong, instinctive, vulnerable in relationship, and . . . the most "maligned" when she didn't fit others' stereotypes of her impowered/strong being. Her gifts were, I believe, denigrated because she somehow "threatened" the ways of acting/being/working in a "sexualized" environment of law enforcement. I haven't seen enough of "The Fixer" to know how I'll feel about the plot, but I'm happy to be able to see the work of two of my favorite actors continue to do what they do so well. Thanks to BBC, I've been able to access these GREAT SERIES OF ACTORS' WORK! A FAN, KN/OAKLAND, CA/USA

This could have been really good if better cast Lenny and Mercer, about as intimidating as twin kittens, not believable as human beings, nevermind ruthless killers. On the plus, Jody Latham is excellent as usual.
