Fun fact: on Gran Turismo 2, there's some JGTC cars that didn't make it to final release. If you wan't play some JGTC that cut from final game, you can play this

This game has pretty good sound design for the vehicles at this era of console gaming. It has turbo spooling and turbo flutter sounds combined with the raw sounds of the engines.

Suzuka was in the PS1 F1 games. But you're right about Fuji though.

Suzuka was also present in ToCA: World Touring Cars.

It's kind of interesting to see how different interpretations even really well-known tracks like Suzuka had in games back in the day. Speaking of TOCA World Touring Cars, some of the tracks in the game, like Bathurst were pretty accurate for the time, while Monza and Barcelona felt like the layout was drawn in MS Paint with a mouse.

There are also secret cars as well, most probably unlockable upon racing the career mode. Unfortunate that I couldn't able to get them because my game just crashes after every race

I never try to the old gameplay for the All Japan Grand Touring Championship (JGTC). Nice work, you ride for Toyota Castrol Tom's Supra Number 38 Race Car moments at Fuji Speedway in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.

Someone really needs to do a playthrough of this game because there are a number of unlockables to be obtained. I tried it once but I ended up being unable to understand its car physics and emulator crashes after every race. I did rip some of the game's assets for researching and found out that the unlockables comprise of additional JGTC participants and some "interesting" cars, but then again someone had to go through the game fully to see them in gameplay form.

Yeah, I wish there was a better emulator that makes the game work after every race. And the secret track was the 1970s Fuji layout, unlockable by winning the One Match mode.

There are some bonus cars unlockable by beating the GT500 and the GT300 classes. Here are these: Taisan Porsche 962 Taisan Ferrari F40 A sponsored truck A Prelude Pace Car. Sadly, I don't know how to unlock two more bonus cars in the game.

hey I have played this game and unlocked all but 2 cars, I wanna know if those last 2 slots actually have cars behind them and if they do how do I get them, I’ve beaten both class gp’s won all single races and set all time records if there is a way I don’t know it so if someone knows please let me know edit: don’t get me wrong I appreciate the aknowledgement of my comment but please if you’re going to aknowledge my comment more then do it with an answer I have no idea what’s left to do

I dunno how my cousing end having this japanesse games, maybe the man who sold the PSX to him was japanesse or something I dunno He got Advan, this JGTC game and the initial D one Ever in all my days saw those games on any store, not even the cool ones that used to have japanesse games

Anyway, other avex songs are remixes in this game. But still suck hard because have only 5 tracks. These are iconic songs that very popular in the late 90s.Namie Amuro-Body feels exit, Every litte thing- Dear my friend,TRF-Ez do dance, Favorite blue(Takashi Kimura's band before he found move since 1998) - Active, my dream ,, and MAX-Get my love(remix japanese version of eurobeat song Take my gum). It's shame that this game doesn't popular enough to become sequel.
