This is just one of those incidents that every league fan old enough to remember thinks about from time to time. This guy was destined to be a 12 year Australian representative and one of Qld's greats. Injuries happen in league every game, every week, but not many end careers so early. Jharal should be an inspiration to all of us!! Attitude is everything!! The individual decides how they come out the other side. Massive credit to him!! PS: Is there a more passionate league man than Vossy? Maybe, but his personal connection when interviewing players is second to none.

Shame his career ended early. Was one of my favourite players to watch. He was one of the premium wingers at the time. Could’ve been one of the greats.

I'm a NSW fan myself but always loved his plays whether in Origin or for the Broncs, and whilst its a shame his career ended so early what's more important is how he has continued his life. He didn't let footy be his identity, in these modern times so many people get their identity from what they do. Great attitude mate and you're an inspiration to all young athletes out their and I would really hope that you continue to share your story and give hope and inspiration to people of all walks of life!

People easily forget how good he was. 3rd season in the NRL, starting winger for QLD and AUS, combined 5 tries in 6 games for both. 33 tries in 60 for the Bronx. Would still be killing it right now, such a shame.

I was 15 when this injury happened and I was and am a advocate qld supporter. This man Yow Yeh was 1 of my favourites, not because he was like Thurston or Slater or Inglis, but because his name sounded different when the commentators would scream YOW YEH FOR THE CORNER! Just hit different, when he stopped playing it truly broke my heart. Such a young talented lad who could still be carving up in today’s game. Best wishes outside of footy mate ❤️

Glad to see an interview with him- I still remember meeting Jharal when I was playing under 12's. You can ask anyone I know and they'Il tell you I despise the Broncos, but this dude was so down to earth and awesome with fans, extremely talented on the field and very humble. Purely because of that, there weren't many games he played in that I missed- I looked up to this guy more than anyone from my own team. The incident that ended his career still sends shivers down my spine and I think if it hadn't happened he would be a force to be reckoned with in today's competition.

If he went on to play the same amount of games as billy Slater (2nd highest try scorer ever with 190) if he had of kept the same scoring rate that he Was going at when he retired(33 from 60), jharal would have gone on to score 177 tries if he played 323 games, that’s ridiculous, would have put him 4th on the all time list

I don’t think it’s the pain of it to why he would cry I think it’s more so as a person who loves sports hates to be on the sideline and unsure if a club is willing to still have you on board even with your injury situation that’s what goes thru every athletes mind even just starting from the bottom again when you were right at the top.
