I have watched a lot of Tamil movies over the years and trust me Jiggarthanda Double X is one of the best Tamil movies to have been made in the last 5 years.. I thought I knew what to expect from a typical Karthik Subbaraj movie but I think this time he has really brought himself into a completely different level.. really the movie his direction, Lawrence and SJ Surya was vera level.. I thought this Deepavali there were no good movies but how wrong I was, Jiggarthanda Double X truly a great movie. Really mesmerized by the movie, kept you engaged from the first minute like Vidhuthalai.. truly an unexpected wonderful Deepvali treat!!

Jigar Thanda Double X film is one of the finest greatest film of Indian film industry. And It's one of the Royal Salute film of Tamil film industry. Much watch in Theatres. It's a theatre experience film. In OTT you will not get that much impact. Great Salute to Director Karthik Subbaraj, Music Director Santhosh Narayan, Lawrence Master, SJ Surya Ji, and All small small actors to Main lead actors have done Justice to the film.Just go and watch in Theatres your opinion matters. Cinema is an art form for some, entertainment for others, and for some, cinema is political. Many of these films and their creators play a vital role in the perspectives from which their movies are told. "Jigarthanda DoubleX" is a film that speaks on behalf of the indigenous people, portraying their rights being taken away by the government with the help of local police for their own profit. Director Karthik Subraj chose to set the timeline of the film in the 1970s, paying homage to Western films, especially those starring Clint Eastwood. Most Western films depicted indigenous people as barbaric and inhumane, and the heroes of these Western films were always on the side of the sheriff (government). Karthik Subraj cleverly flipped this, where in the end, the hero was on the side of the indigenous people, not just because he was one of them, but also because the character played by SJ Surya ended up on their side. Here, the director plays a crucial role in choosing to portray the oppressed's side and fighting for their rights, while most of his colleagues like Logesh Kanagaraj or Nelson, and especially GVM, chose the government's side because their heroes always embodied Hollywood machismo, inspired by the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Bruce Willis, Steven Seagal, etc. However, Clint Eastwood, a Hollywood macho himself, often picked the government's side in most of his films. Alliyus Caesar, the biggest fanboy of Clint Eastwood, ultimately chose the side of his people, standing against the government and its oppression. This showcases the political knowledge and understanding of Karthik Subraj. I am very excited for the third part.

In spite of knowing that I am watching a film , I could not control my tears in the shoot out scene .🙏🏻 🎉 I went without any expectations. Also I usually avoid Lawrence movies ( cringe action ). But in this film he has done best as an Artist 🎉. Wishes to him . KS has brought the artist in him . SJ Suryah did a subtle performance 💥, which is totally different from Mark Antony. A great one . The transformation of both the characters from the beginning to the end is gradually done . SANA bgm elevated the movie to next level 🎉 People who post negative comments are the ones who don't know / understand/feel anything . (I don't care anyways) This could be a cult movie . 🎉.
