Materials needed
Jigsaw puzzle pieces
Nail polish or Acrylic paint
Judikins Diamond glaze or similar product
Beads - optional
Fine Glitter
Modge podge - I used hard coat
8mm and 6mm Jump rings
Clasp of your choice
Tools
Tweezers
Bead reamer
Small paint brush
Stiff paint brush
Europunch 1.80 Hole punch plier
Pair of Chain nose pliers

This is AWESOME!!! April is Autism awareness month, and the symbol for it is a puzzle piece. I'm going to make some for my daughter's teachers as a thank you for doing such a wonderful job.

My nephew is autistic & I made a pair of earrings like this 2 yrs. ago. Only I used bigger pieces. Awesome idea with the glitter & bracelet......never thought of that. TFS!!!!

great video. I made jewelry yrs ago with puzzles you can also make really great barrettes to ..the one thing I did not have back then was diamond glaze.I do now thank you for the memories. think I will make again.

I would use puzzles that have pieces missing....that way I won't feel so bad....

Oh my gosh your message made me laugh. My Aunt Donna loves jigsaw puzzles she saw me punching holes in them and said, Why are you ruining that puzzle. I said, I am trying to figure out how to make jewelry out of them. She then said, but I haven't done that one yet. Then I said, it's just a dollar store puzzle. LOL!

I was looking for ideas to make gifts for friends (We're meeting us soon and there are loads of us) I remembered this lovely jigsaw tutorial and am inspired, my daughter has loads of big jigsaws with broken or lost pieces, I could do them and put a personal message on the back, yey thank you for your hard work and for giving me inspiration

you might try to get "reverse" tweezers - they grip without you having to hold them. especially handy if for people who have grip problems. I haven't tried jigsaw jewellery yet (but I will), but for other projects, I sometimes leave all the tweezers holding bits to dry while I take a break.

Great use for puzzles with missing pieces. I have quite a few from when my son was little. I would use resin to cover them myself. Also was thinking could make a mold of some puzzle pieces or just use them to cut the shape out of polymer clay. A mokume gane sheet would be great to cut puzzle pieces out of. :) Thanks for sharing. :) - Heidi

you could just mix a batch of glitter and mod podge together and then paint it on. I'm going to try this with resin. :)

WHAT A GREAT TUTORIAL !!! Thanks so much. I love making earrings and the "logo" for Autism is a puzzle piece...so this is perfect for me. Did you find that the glitter nail polish had an ODOR? I used some glitter polish that I had on hand from another project and the fumes were so bad, the back of my throat hurt for days. Can't wait to go looking for your other projects!

What a lovely idea, it would also look nice for the earrings if one was connected into one of the gaps,so you have two puzzle pieces imsted of just the one,, for a variation,if that would work,OK,, thankyou for this lovely video.🌹🌺🍁🌸🌼👍

Thanks! I think that would work, you could glue a little piece of chip board, like cereal box card board to the back to keep them together.

I simply love this but no matter how many coats l put on the puzzle piece falls apart once it gets wet or sweaty. In the 'old' days puzzle pieces used to be made of wood but those are really hard to find these days....

These are beautiful. Do you have suggestions for hypoallergenic metals, for example, for jump rings or clasps etc? I'm mostly looking for necklace ideas. My daughter and I are allergic to certain metals (nickel I know for sure for one). I've never made jewelry before and your channel has definitely motivated me to try it myself :). Thanks.
