Starks is one of 2 AEW originals that WWE would sign immediately and put on the main roster. (The other is MJF) Starks has only had one bad moment (sent me over the edge) other than that, he’s consistent upper mid-card to main event guy that’s a solid wrestler has a decent if not great build, and a very unique voice and a great promo. I mean he saved Big Cass’ career. Really never saw that coming.

A Ricky Starks vs Logan Paul for the US championship would be a great match up if he goes to WWE, I hope WWE doesn’t miss out on him. Also adding from video: he might be playing middle to just stay liked by AEW in case he may want to come back for any reason yk cause if he’s pro-CM Punk and outwardly expresses it, that may be an burnt bridge that he can’t reuse in the future. I think it’s a political move to keep himself from not losing contact with TK and the Khan-money.

They're from the mind of internet smark commentary, Tony Khan is king of the nerds, he's doing all the stuff he agreed with them would be how to run a business. But they're so vain about not being as lame as wwe that they have an oversight of what that lame stuff entailed. Vince wanted performers to be called superstars because he wanted people flicking channels to think "wow, what a superstar" when they saw Roman Reigns, and then they back it up by referring to him as a superstar. The other tv shows have stars, wwe had superstars. He booked just so people flicking channels would see Reigns more often than not and stop flicking and stay tuned in. That's why he pushed his favourites, because he thinks they're the most likely to get the attention of non wrestling fans flicking the channel and possibly becoming wrestling fans. E.R was a great show but when George Clooney was in it, it DREW massive interest. Vince was always looking for his Clooney's, and would give them preference. When Clooney left E.R, they could do all the great booking they wanted and be technically better produced than they had been in earlier years, but the interest basically halved when he left. So they mocked his way of doing things and Tony was inspired by brilliant conversations with other "brilliant" minds where they mocked his entire ethos and by the time he formed a company they decided they would shine a light on the "undervalued" in ring marshalls as opposed to poster boys. But Vince knew the value of a poster boy, he knows what really sets business on fire is the performers, not the technical aspects. So wwe has had it beaten into them to promote magnetic personalities, while aew promotes the technical stuff more. Nobody is tuning in to any shows because they like the sets lol, they tune in because of characters. Thinking that wrestling is the one show on tv that's going to buck that highly lucrative trend is laughable, but that's how arrogant these internet nerds are, they metaphorically sat around a campfire singing Kumbaya talking about how bad wwe is, overlooking all the brilliant strategies they had long term.

I once again bring up an article that unfortunately came out around the same time as "brawl out", where it was basically a bunch of guys who said a bunch of nice shit about Punk. Guys who got quoted in it, such as Hobbs, Starks, I _think_ Shawn Spears, and FTR (I believe it was Cash that basically said they didn't really cross paths in WWE, so they only knew of him by his purported bad reputation, so they had a preconceived notion of him... until they actually *talked* with him in AEW and liked the guy) and a few others... all seemed to "mysteriously" get any career traction derailed afterwards. Or the more recent thing where Okada was asked about Punk, and he says "I'd tell you how I feel about Punk, but The Bucks are my friends." Kinda weird if he was going to say anything derogatory that he would decide against it for the sake of his friends who already don't like the guy... unless he was wanting to say something nice, but giving praise to "the enemy" would hurt their little feelings, so he tried to abstain. So, every time something like this comes up, it seems like more ammunition that AEW shoots themselves in their own foot with.

Every single time someone manages to get over on this tv show Tony Kahn immediately buries them because he has no idea how to book a babyface. Tony knows how to do one thing, and that’s coming up with an angle for a heel to get heat to set up a match. And by the time the ppv match rolls around you can guarantee the babyface has lost all momentum they had. This list of guys is a mile long and now you can add Swerve to the list

The only reason he even mentioned the Bucks was so that they don’t fuck up his career more than they have already. That was just to please those losers. What could they have possibly taught him if they themselves don’t have the slightest damn clue about putting asses on seats?

Ricky has an old school mentality to his presentation and ring work. He is someone who can work with a mop and do a good match but decides not too if the time isn't right. I heard of stories of him working super methodical just to piss off an audience of so called smart marks. I think he even worked a no bump match after a promoter stiff him on his paycheck. Tony simply doesn't like Starks because he doesn't do the flips and the Tiger Driver 92s of the world but instead he is a character. He needs to get out of AEW as soon as possible. My hope is that his contract is almost up.

Ricky Starks have the mic skills and good promo delivery over most of the new talents, he will flourish well in WWE. If booker right he will over take Carmello Hayes. He can blend well with guys like Theory and Brekker.

He sounds like Cody. Hes throwing the bucks a bone and being professional. Hes is gushing about Punk, a guy who saw his potential…. “Oh and the Bucks too!” 😂😂😂 Saying this as a huge AEW fan who hated Vince and the WWE product for decades. The Bucks and Meltzer and their politics ruined all of the company’s momentum. Its a shame.

Its really clear that there are two types of mindset in the AEW locker room. An AEW mindset and and a pro wrestling mindset. There is no dobut that Ricky is off to greener pastures, same for MJF, etc. I guess its just so blatant because so few of the talent realizes they are wasting their early to mid-prime moneymaking years in a company that can't draw any.
