@@Professional-Sinner To say “nothing special here” is reductive and ridiculous. She’s a very accomplished guitarist and arranger who worked hard to come up with this arrangement herself, that inspires other gigging musicians like myself to work harder and be better. Don’t diminish other people’s accomplishments by saying anyone could do that if they worked hard enough. While, true, it takes away from the fact that she actually took the time and did the work and created something fantastic.

A favourite song of an old guy and ex-guitar player. I suspect that Jim Groce would hold his breath at the style, grace and fluency of your playing. Beautifully and sensitively executed.
@topseykretts76086 жыл бұрын
I don't think people commenting even begin to understand the level of difficulty it is to play like that. This girl is loaded with talent. She's not only playing the song...she's actually playing the vocal melody over the pattern of the song....world class!!
@davidkepke14355 жыл бұрын
Topsey Kretts Yes to that. People who have spent time learning songs appreciate it on a deeper level and know how long it takes to get it down just right. That song has some very deep lyrics, which together with the music just has genius written all over it.
@Koroar5 жыл бұрын
So true, until you actually try it it's hard to grasp how hard it is, not even remotely like playing a chord sequence or even your average solo, it's the two combined.

Topsey Kretts … Gabriella takes it one step further than you describe … she did the arrangement herself. For those that don't know what that entails, Gabriella has created the piece of music in order to play both the chords and melody together - that is difficult and time consuming to figure out. You'll note in her earliest videos, she was using the arrangements done by other musicians.

I opted for Crose's ship wreck song. I grew up around the Great Lakes and that tune kind of found me. However when I got a job actually working on a great lakes ship and brought my guitar, when I played that song just once for my follow seamen, the guys said, " Hell No!! " They truly wanted to steal all the strings off my guitar if I ever played it again. So I quickly learned Alvis' Jail House Rock tune. Silly, but true.

In the early 1960’s I met Jim Croce when he was working at the Car Wash in NiagaraFalls New York USA 🇺🇸 and he was sitting playing guitar 🎸 and as a car pulled out he set his guitar on the chair and asked me to keep an eye 👁 it as he wiped the water 💦 off the car. And in his song “Working at the car wash blues” he sings at the end of the song “Living in NiagaraFalls was the worse time of his life”
