Been a Chargers fan for more than 30 years. I have never been more happy for a season to start than this coming one. I know we have been let down a lot in the past but I really think we get over the hump and see the playoffs quite often and I am feeling very confident. This coaching staff that Harbaugh has put together is impressive. The players look way more refreshed and sharp in watching OTA's. They have had 98-100% Participation!!! I use to watch the games and I could tell my son what plays they were going to run most of the time and then of course the D would easily stop them. Not anymore!!! We finally get a running game to put the D on their heels and that was not present since Natron Means and the LT days!! We won games back then and went to the playoffs quite a bit!! Lets GO CHARGERS!!

As a huge michigan fan I was sad to see Harbaugh go. I was just as sad to see he took Jesse Minter with him. Herbert with a nasty defense has potential to be crazy.

Lions immediately came to mind when speaking about getting it done and not being the most talented and changing culture, biggest proponent of that in the NFL. They have been doing that in the draft in finding Dan Campbell guys and guys that fit that team/locker room. I'm a Lions fan but even so, they deserve the credit on how that staff turned around that team in a few very short years. Even when ppl were calling for Dan to be fired after that terrible 3-13 first year Sheila Ford stuck with it and told literally everyone that Dan was her guy and she was gonna stick by him.

It's a weird way of removing the human influence from the moment, and reducing everything to numbers (and that's why it sounds silly to an individual athlete or coach, and ultimately is silly since you're still talking about sports played by humans). The math does work though, and can be informative in the moment.

Momentum has to do with confidence, when you overthink, you make more mistakes, when you are confident you're going to do it right and be on target, you let your muscle memory take over and with all the practice and experience muscle memory generally will win over.

Momentum affects your mentality in the game that’s why it’s important. Adding more pressure to the pressure that already exist. If your defense gets a pick 6 that now ups the morale of the defense and the offense coming onto the field once again and puts pressure on the former present offense for making possibly a game defying mistake. It works like this in competitive setting wether that’s football, basketball, baseball, competitive gaming, hell even golf. So for them to write an article tryna use statistics or science behind why it doesn’t exist doesn’t relate to the reality that it does.

When you have Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen, you go for it. I do understand lombardis point tho, they did have one of the worst o lines I’ve ever seen

Harbaugh has gone from the young buck firey coach that threw play cards on the field to an older wiser man. Watched it happen at Michigan, he had all those kids ready to run through a brick wall every game and they went and won a National Championship. Jimmy can coach, and i hope he gets his Super Bowl.

It does not reflect well on the players that when they have a coach who doesn't push them as hard, they slack off, and suddenly become "hard workers" under a new coach. Work should be self-motivated. If you can't work unless you have the right coach who has huge stature whom you can't hide from, you're just doing it because you don't want to get caught slacking.
