The rest of the joke makes sense in that context, where he says the initial correct number, then rounds up, because the prison sentence doesnt change when its that high already.

Someone will always be offended (especially these days right?) but now is a good time to keep pushing the line further back, because cancel culture is rampant and we’re losing a lot more than we’re gaining these days. If it’s good comedy, it’s good comedy. Never take it personally, I say. But hey, I can certainly understand someone not WANTING to hear it. And in that case, they should just not buy tickets to see a comedian renowned for pushing the envelope. That’s the beauty of freedom of speech.
