Those are Zach de la Rocha's words, the vocalist If you didn't know. They aren't anti establishment, they are anti corruption. They used the advantage of the record company to spread their message. You have to pay to play the game, its called life. Yeah it sucks, but if they were unwilling to sign to a label, they wouldn't have any way to perform and spread their message.

So true - not only can't BUY it but can't carry it most places! Last summer I was at a local liquor store and a guy and his son were buying beer and snacks, and I live in an open carry state. The cashier told them the son could not carry any beer to their car, and he had a pistol in a holster on his hip! They were nice, and went along, but they did mention how silly it was that this kid could own and carry a deadly weapon, but could not help carry their beer out to the car.

That’s because firearm carry permits are regulated by state law, while alcohol is regulated by federal statutes. You’ll notice quite an interstate variance regarding guns, but uniformity with alcohol.

Guy that’s actually not strictly true. The drinking age is also up to the state’s, but the federal government decided a long time ago that, if states didn’t set their age at 21, they’d withhold federal money from highway and other transportation funds, etc. So, while it’s true that the federal government is influencing the age, they don’t strictly control it legally. Same concept, though. The federal government doesn’t seem to care what you do about guns, but they feel the need to get involved with alcohol 🙄

I live in Germany and gun control is extremly strict. But you can still own a gun. You have to do actual training and you need permits and you need to be evaluated. If you then buy a gun you have to keep it at home, you can't walk around with it in public. So basicly we have a very dangerous and deadly object that can only be used after you have done some thorough tests and even then the use of it is restricted. And for some reason a lot of people have a problem with that even though that's exactly how a fuck ton of things are handled. I mean, have you never heard of fucking cars for example? Of course we need restriction on dangerous and deadly things especially when the whole purpose of said thing is to be fucking deadly! You don't buy a car to kill people with it and there are still a ton of restrictions, so of fucking course we need restrictions on guns, the sole purpose of which is to hurt people!
