I have searched the Torrents for years for a Blue Ray copy of this.
Here you go.......
Two hits of Owsley.
His favourite black Stratocaster.
Pete Townshend crying backstage.
Wow.

Mind boggling to think Hendrix started playing guitar at age 15 and died when he was 27. Only 12 yrs and was only widely known for the last 4 yrs of life.

Are You Experienced was released in May of 1967. Jimi died in September of 1970. So, the entirety of Jimi's solo career spanned ~1,200 days, but over half a century later popular music *still* hasn't seen his equal. In my opinion, the only artist since then who came close in terms of the full package (instrumentalist, composer, lyricist, vocalist, live performer, fashion icon, etc.) was Prince.

Before he played this gig he (ironically) first introduced himself and the band to America, AFTER he was a star in England. They arguably played the best set of their entire lives that night in June 1967, which was what their goal was beforehand. James Marshall Hendrix was twenty-four years old. TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD !!! He had SUPREME MASTERY of his instrument at only twenty-four and possibly a few years before that. He was a forceful prodigy, a pure virtuoso. He absorbed every guitar player that he'd heard and liked who played before him then poured out of himself his musical genius from his mind and spirit: through his fingers, through his guitar, through his amplifiers out into the world. Thank you very, very much for uploading this; it quite simply never gets old. His music was electrifying to those who witnessed him in person and still electrifies us today.🎸❤

He lived in Nashville for a minute and played gigs around town opening for really bad acts, so that means he didn’t really get paid. (One reason why he went to England). Anyway, as the lore goes, he would leave with the ladies after his set and the band would pack up his gear. But his band started getting tired of doing it so they just left his guitars there. And jimi didn’t care because he thought fender strats were crap guitars. At the time they kinda were and also super cheap. Another reason why he’d burn em. But yeah, I’d like to think there’s a bunch of his guitars still floating around here, yah never know! Much love and rock n roll!
@jinov191
@jinov191 5 ай бұрын
Surely you jest, he loved the Strats. That was the guitar that he really wanted before he left for England and he finally got one courtesy of the Isley Brothers in 1964. If you are referring to after he went to England the band had roadies who packed his guitars and before he went to England he only had one guitar which he never left behind after having one stolen when he was a teen.

Also if ya dig this song by Jimmy on youtube 😀 you may enjoy the song " Most of All " By Glenn Kaiser and Where Roses Grow Live by Rez Band Awesome songs check them out. I remember hearing the song by Led Zepp " In My Time of Dyin " during my drug years and made me think about death and Jesus. Then a hippy friend that dug Jesus told me more of Jesus love and forgiveness and how I could also know Jesus love. So in 1981 I cried out to Jesus and wow man He came into my life and I had and have so much joy and peace and now know that through Jesus when I die I will be with Him in Heaven. Hey Jesus loves each of you also and yall can know Him if you are at all open. Just cry out to Him and also read the Gospel of John in the Bible or check out the movie on KZfaq. 😀

Hendrix was already enjoying some fame in europe. Monterrey 68 was the concert that made him famous in america. Dude squirted a bottle of alcohol lit a match and set the guitar on fire (also injuring him a bit) after smashing his guitar soon after at the end of this concert. This was pretty shocking at the time. Dude was all over the news from then on.
