All the background vocals that you said sound like a girl are Jimin himself. A lot of ppl has mistaken Jimin's voice to be female when they react to BTS songs becuz of his high register. Jimin has one of the most unique tone of voice in music!

Words cannot describe how awesome this album is!! Jimin in his interview with JImmy Fallon said the Album is a chronological order of things that happened to him over the pandemic!! It is basically telling a story. So, attempting a breakdown here..stay with me lol 1. Face - off : He had a kind of a breakup or fight with someone he trusted!! The person hurt him badly. 2. Interlude - Drive - Starts off with him driving, arguing with someone ( vicious knock on a door and kind of a crying sound), then he went for his concert ( saying thank you to fans) and drove somewhere to drown himself in alcohol 3. Like Crazy: He is still trying to avoid facing reality!! So he will rather drink to numb himself from the pain. 4. Alone: This is when he is in full depression and he even said "Mayday, get me out of here '. He was literally crying out for help! 5. Set me free : This is where he realises that he is the only one that can set himself free from the depression and the mental health he is now!! 6: Letter : A letter to his fellow other members for being there for him!! In his interview with rolling stones, he said after the last concert they had, he discussed with them about how he was feeling and they advised him to express this through his music. This is what he did and probably helped with his healing. So he promised to be there for them and he doesn't take the promise lightly!. This is a masterpiece of an album!! P.S I Will rather have 5 perfect songs than 7 or 8!! Quanlity and not quantity is always the best way to go!!

Face tells a story. Face off is him confronting situations, people, and most importantly himself. It’s the start of his journey. Interlude: Dive is basically him having to put those heavy and deep thoughts and emotions aside to go to work and put on a facade to be BTS Jimin. Like Crazy again is him knowing he needs to work on his shit but not wanting to face it so he wants to get lost in the lights etc. Alone is him getting back into a space where he knows he’s stuck in a cycle and confronting/facing his fears, his insecurities, the hurt inflicted on him that he never lets the world see how it truly effects him. Set me free is the aftermath. The breakthrough. Letter, while it’s said to be a fan song can also be interpreted as a love letter from his softer more authentic self to his past self. The whole album, while short, is cleverly and beautifully written and truly tasks you along his journey to freedom and healing.

I hope you will read my comment ( information about jimin ) Jimin is one of the members who receives the most hate, ridicule and bullying, and he is one of the idols who gets the most death threats in kpop history. You can't imagine how many ugly words I've read about him before (and even now sometimes) and I pray every day that Jimin's eyes haven't read them. Jimin suffered from so bad comments regarding his appearance, his high pitched voice, his contemporary dance, his personality and even his relationship with the members. At first, young Jimin had to show a masculine image (the bad boy of the group). He followed a strict diet and workout and got an extremely muscular body while He was just a little kid who did not exceed 17 years of age yet. later it was said that his body did not correspond to his height or his soft features, and again he followed a very strict diet (one meal per day). However, there were still some criticisms thrown here and there about his appearance (it was said that He's not even a man and I can't say more than that), regarding his voice at the beginning, the company itself didn't give Jimin any vocal lessons until their debut, however, Jimin's voice and the quality of his singing was excellent by itself, but at some point there were rumors that The seventh member of the group cannot sing Despite the fact that he performed the most difficult high notes, these bitter rumors did not stop, and because of his contemporary dance, which the company thought that was not compatible with their dance style, the company was about to kicked him out for 8 times and many painful words were thrown at him, in addition to his gentle and angelic personality some were describing him in the most horrible way possible, I can't even write without remembering the pain I felt when I read their dirty talk about him. The dirty talk about his relationship with the other members is something that still exists today. It's been said that Jimin always spoils the relationship between them and The company should suffice with six members instead of seven, and they raised cheers against Jimin's presence in the group. There are many other things that I cannot mention in a comment, but I want you to know that Jimin, behind all his warm and kind smiles, carries pain and suffering continuously. I saw Jimin when He cried, when he said he felt lonely (more than once), when he said he is embarrassed by his personality, when his happy face changed to gloomy as he read the worst comments, when he tried to hide his pain, if there's one thing that keeps me from leaving the K-Pop world, it's Jimin I want to support him in a way that relieves him of a small part of the pain that he is exposed to every day. I am not only fan for his voice, his dance and his personality , I am fan the strength that a young man like him possesses, he said he want to show us his emotions in this album and I’m crying over it . I stood on the sideline, helpless, watching my son go through that pain You cannot enter that black hole they are in, totally alone. I saw him struggeling out of that abyss physically and mentally excausted, every time. I was reluctant at first to order the album, but I did. Listening to it, I hear pain in the lyrics and from Jimin's voice. Is it something he has dealt with, and now that the safe haven of the group is crumbeling, he truely feels alone? The whole album seems like a cry for help, and if so, my heart hurts for him. I'm glad to hear that you are healing and were brave enough to share.

jimin had 3 months to write, compose and co - produce ''face''. you must know he is just a vocalist in bts. he is not rm, suga and j-hope who are the main writers for the group as a whole. ''face off'' is my favorite song on his album, i like the composition, vocals and emotions that jimin projected in this song. 'interlude dive' is just a moment in time in jimin's head. you could hear the crowd cheering and he introduced himself, i am jimin ni'. jimin is very critical with himself, he always thinks he is not ''good'' enough, he stresses to be a better dancer and he dislikes his singing voice, which i think is crazy. to me jimin is a great singer, dancer and an overall entertainer. but hopefully you will notice ''all'' the members suffer from a lack of self confidence. i ask why? welcome to the rabbit hole💜

Look up the song: Letters lyrics by Jimin…that was a bonus song that comes on same track as the English version of Like Crazy. On one of his vlive? He said he is going to work on and give us happy-cheerful songs next. I will pray for him…that he will be happy and carefree as possible for him, that his depression will lessen and won’t overwhelm him. Pray that his haters-harassers will get karma, because they aggravated everything negative.

I loved hearing your thoughts while listening to Alone, you spoke jimin's lyrics into existence when comparing it to your own real experience and I really resonated with it. Also hearing about your loss you must have gone through so much I'm really inspired by how you can talk about it and analyze it now, it's not easy for many to do that. Like Jimin said, he had to go back to his dark emotions and thoughts to be able to write this album, and he said it was difficult for him and how he didn't like it, revisiting memories especially if they're not that old is such a brave thing.

I think that now when he has released an album, worked writing and with producers, gotten to do what he wanted and seen that we love it, I think he will want to do more and get inspired and ideas and feel like it isn't as big and scary as before. So I'm hoping- and thinking he will come with singles etc. That if he gets an idea of a song or performance and/or MV he will g for it. He has now proved himself (not that he needed to for us but to himself) and I think the big scary step is taken and he will find it easier to go for it if he gets an ide for something. And singles doesn't have to work within a whole albums concept, it can be anything and just a one-off, or if he wanna just dance and release a video of that, maybe something artsy. Maybe it's just hopeful thinking and a bit of projection from me because I'm like that, before I try something new it seems so daunting and I want/need it to be perfect but afterwards I feel more free to experiment.

Before looking at the lyrics, I thought it was la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la, la. I thought it was genius writing to put it after the previous lines, pointing out how he was lying to himself.
