Jimin mastered writing dark songs. This is why he’s my bias. I didn’t understand it at first.. he seemed to be the sweetest member and I can’t understand why I find him so interesting. He then goes and writes things like Lie, Promise and then this album. His songs are laced with dark undertones underneath light airy vocals. It’s so beautiful and haunting.

JIMIN is a true ARTIST. A musical genius. No wonder that at a young age he's top of his ART School. Both in Music and Dance Department. He's academically good and technically gifted. Pure natural talent!

I think you’re the only reactor so far that has been able to encapsulate what the album ‘FACE’ is all about. I genuinely think your review is the closest to what story Jimin was trying to convey to ARMY. It quite sad and heartbreaking but like he already said in his pre interview it really it’s an album talking about facing one’s inner self. The whole concept of the album including the poem on ‘Set me Free pt 2’ now makes sense.

I am so very grateful to have found your channel and am speechless at the depth of your thinking and analyzing of Jimin's First album. THANK YOU! You paid attention to what Jimin had to say and followed through with the artist's own expression of his inspirations for the lyrics and music. If we have been listening to BTS for any amount of time we should know that JIMIN is a deep thinker, much like RM, and emotionally very in tune and able to express his thoughts and feelings. He did so in this album and I truly hope ARMY pays attention to what he has written in his lyrics.

I felt every single emotion and analogy you gave and I thank you for reacting to Jimin's album and break it down the way you did! The whole album is a WORK OF ART but Face Off is my favorite. There is more to that pretty face and charming character he shows the word, the unspoken struggles and doubts we keep to ourselves and fight on a daily basis without anyone noticing, he shared his and exposed that "hidden self" raw. From someone who dealt with depression 1st hand, I had only one thought in mind, if only it was possible to just give him a big, heart to heart hug and tell him everything will sort itself out eventually, that he'll overcome those demons or learn how to tame them. ❣To me the key word is also “pandemic” which Jimin did say that this whole album he released is mainly about. Which in turn, caused him to go through so many thoughts, feelings, & emotions, including anxiety, feeling, alone, despair, anguish, as well as depression, & more. Jimin also said he wanted to share with others in hopes it could help them, as well as be able to relate to some of these feelings. Everyone does indeed deal with these kinds of feelings in different ways. Jimin, himself said, in his song Promise, which he also started writing during another time of inner turmoil, & despair, was that it’s best not to hide one’s self in the dark, alone, but to shine the light on yourself, and to speak up for yourself, instead of saying it’s ok, it’s alright, to yourself & others, when it’s not alright. So Jimin has had inner thoughts and emotions such as these somewhat before pandemic at times, like around the time when BTS in early 2018 was thinking of splitting up, right when he started the song, but made it more uplifting and more positive when everything turned better again! I’m sure at certain stages of one’s life there has been situations, and or times that have cause such thoughts, emotions of despair. But not everyone is able to acknowledge let alone talk about them which is therapeutic and helpful as well! I’m sure this process wasn’t easy to get all out and share, but this is situation from past, and as the last song on album says, “Set Me Free”, at the very end it shows that he’s uplifted and free of those feeling pulling him down haunting him! But indeed these songs and lyrics might help others who are going through similar feelings and emotions, so they know they’re not alone out there. Just like how Jimin’s song Promise helped so many others, he’s phoning these songs in this album will have same effect! Sorry,,,,I didn’t mean for this to get so lengthy!

this album had me bawling from top to bottom. Jimin said that it's only him that could set himself free. When he was going through his struggles, his brother suggested he put it to Music. This was a powerful album for me. He exceeded and gave more than what I expected. He did say in an interview last year he wanted to show his darker, and struggles through the pandemic. The Letter, #7 hidden track is a gift that I feel will keep on giving.

I appreciate your interpretations of all of the songs on the album....P.S. SetMe Free is my favorite of all of the songs but the song Face Off is a close second. Sea is a hidden track from love yourself her. Sea has become a metaphor for army.. or even “the desert into a sea “ being the relationship between BTS and ARMY. at the beginning of yet to come the video is filmed in the desert but you hear the sound of the sea. Those sounds call back to spring day but the image calls back to Sea.. Thks for the album reaction I hope this album gets the love and recognition it deserves.

How come I’ve never found your channel before? An amazing reaction! Subscribed! I kept thinking about the MOTS: ONE online concert and how emotional he got during the comments. He was having a really hard time and he couldn’t hide it from us. I love him so much, and think he knows that if we could we would be there for him for real - but all we can do is show our support and love from afar and LETTER seems like a thank you to ARMY for exactly that. I dont know if you know this but jimin released a solo song named Lie back a couple years ago. It's a very powerful and artistic song, so if you want more of jimin, I recommend. The song "lie" comes from the BTS album "wings" which is full of a lot Of song made by the individual members and are all very personal and beautiful.

Finally, found a reaction that dove deep with the album's sorrow. Hating the fact that some reactors just look at the surface thinking it's about the artist wanting to "have a baby". Yet still, a song can have different interpretations based on who's listening. Just want to listen to someone who's aligned to what Jimin told his fans regarding the album's meaning.
