I fell in love with Jimin when I saw him dancing, then his voice. But then, when I got to see a glimpse of Jimin’s personality, I fell in love with Jimin all the more. JIMIN is like oxygen I breathe. There’s not a day goes by without looking at a clip of Jimin whether it be his mesmerizing and powerful dancing, singing or him being goofy, mischievous and funny. I’ve never yet seen someone so inspiring like Jimin before. Extremely hard working, resilient, thoughtful, affectionate, caring, sincere, mischievous, goofy and many more. Now, I am also a mother with young children, so naturally, I began to wonder how he must have been raised to grow up to be such a wonderful person, for lack of better word. Watching some of these interactions of Jimin and his family taught me quite a bit. Unlike typical Korean (maybe most Asians) upbringing where parents try to discourage certain things/activities from their children in order to fit them into the mold that they envision for their children (sort of like Namjoons UN speech), Jimin’s parents seem to have been wholeheartedly supportive and loving. Jimin wanted to learn kendo because he wanted to be the best pirate swordsman after falling in love with a character in manga, and his parents lovingly supported him (would I lovingly support this innocence or would I try to instill reality to my children... shamefully probably the latter). How about when Jimin had so much prospect as a classically trained professional contemporary dancer from a prestigious art school in Korea, but yet he decided to throw it all away to be a singer, with no training. which he has the chance of 1 in a million in the notoriously cutthroat competitive field. But again, his parents supported him. Would I have? Honestly speaking, probably not. But now I know that this upbringing probably helped Jimin become who he is today. JIMIN seems to be a person with goals and purpose in life. In other words, he takes total ownership and control of his life and actions. In contrast, children who grow up being forced to be a shadow of what their parents set out for them, most of them do not have control of their lives. It’s almost as if they don’t own their lives. I am Asian and I lived this, and I hated this. However, now that I am a mother, I find myself doing the same thing to my own children. I didn’t even realize that I was doing this until I started to reflect upon myself after seeing Jimin. I have so much respect for his loving and supportive parents. Jimin is so loving. He knows how to be loved and wholeheartedly appreciate the love and return the love. It’s probably possible because he was so loved by his parents. We all love our children but sometimes we don’t know how to love the right way, against our true intentions. I learn from Jimin everyday. He makes me want to be a better person and better parent. He teaches me to stay resilient in difficulties. I just love Jimin with all my heart just the way he is, not because he is perfect but because he is someone who is so beautiful inside and out. He is so inspiring even with slight imperfections, if any. He is always growing as a person everyday. And I choose to stand by him as a fan as long as possible. 영원히 사랑해 나의 가수 나의 스타 나의 아티스트 지민 💛

I think about this a lot. Jimin is so caring and aware of others because his dad has always been like that for him. Someone once said "Jimin's dad is his Jimin." Parenting is so powerful. We have to be thankful to his dad for teaching Jimin how to love and care for others so well.

The only thing I know is that Jimin's parents must be the best parents in the world, they have raised and made a man too beautiful not only physically but also soul. I wish I had a close relationship with my parents. We used to be close when I was a kid but I realized that we have far too many different morals. I wish I could say "I love you" or carry a conversation with them without feeling discomfort. If I can't find comfort in my family at least I have BTS, they're my chosen family and my comfort, they found me when I needed them most. I just hope that I can find people I'm comfortable with and show them compassion that I haven't shown to many people.

I saw that BTS run episode and a vid of him talking to his dad on the phone. The way he talks to his parents sound so lovely. He used "nupimal" which is the polite way of talking to someone..
