I'm in the "group" that isn't trying to build big muscles. I'm in the group trying to "smallen" body fat. I'm sure you get my drift. The weight I lift doesn't really need a belt. But, I'm sure wearing one gives a feeling of some kind of security. Thanks. Keep pumping!

great review brother, deciding between this and a stoic belt.

I haven't had a need for anything different than this $50 belt, yet. But I don't lift that heavy. 315 squat. My next belt will be from Pioneer. Brandon Campbell posted a video by the guy from Pioneer and he shows how all the belts are constructed. Near as I can figure the pioneer belts are a little over $120 or so.

thanks for the review, i too have one of those shitty bodybuilding style belts and im currently looking for a better one. i'm more into powerlifting, and i know you talked about it a little but what do you think is the best powerlifting belt i can get for under $80?
@JimintheGym6 жыл бұрын
this one isn't legal for competition. That's the biggest drawback. If you don't want to ACTUALLY compete, I'd say go with this one. But if you want to compete, there are some household names in belts, but they're very expensive. I know this is a little outside your price range, but my next belt will be a pioneer lever belt. (You can also pay them to put custom messaging on it, like a logo or your name. costs extra.) For just a few bucks over your $80 price point, you can get a Pioneer. I know that's a crazy chunk of change, but if you buy right, you buy once, cry once. The other ones that everybody raves about are Inzer, but I think pioneer is better and cheaper. generalleathercraft.com/product/single-thick-10cm-lever-power-lifting-belt-by-pioneer-double-suede/ I'd see if a pioneer competition-legal belt will fit your budget. Like I said: my next belt will be a pioneer. Inzers are here, but like I said, they're great, but I don't think they're better than pioneer and they're more expensive. www.inzernet.com/search_results_belts.asp?txtsearchParamTxt=&txtsearchParamCat=8&txtsearchParamType=ALL&txtsearchParamMan=ALL&txtsearchParamVen=ALL&txtFromSearch=fromSearch&iLevel=1

I train purely for aesthetics. I don’t do powerlifting or anything. I just want a belt to use for rows and RDL type stuff. I have a $200 belt a while ago and it got stolen, so I don’t want to spend so much this time. Would you recommend this one?

@@knupknupknup1 Haha! Once you break it in, unless you want to compete, it's the only belt you will ever need to buy. Congrats on a great purchase.

I love my Best Belt at 13mm it is more supple than your 10 mm. I did the same thing you did but I also rolled my belt forward and backward and put heavy rubber bands on it over night, kind of like putting a ball in a baseball glove and then rubber bands on it. Yes, it is twice the price but we are not talking about that much money in actual dollars. You tell them your waist and they put the center hole at that place and you get to choose your own color and do not have to advertise ROGUE on the back. Just my two cents for what it is worth.

One question: and is about the color. Does the color from the buckle easily remove with the friction? And what about the black edging? Wanna know if the color remains with the time

Hello. Any update on your opinion about this belt now that you have put in more time in it? Planning to get a belt soon. Thanks. :)
@JimintheGym6 жыл бұрын
I think this is the small block chevy of lifting belts. If you're not going to compete, this is your belt. Mine is still perfect. The only thing I could possibly say is that because it's 2 plies of leather, it creaks a little bit when you brace against it. (Makes a tiny noise that you won't notice.) This is true for much more expensive belts, too. The only belt I'd consider paying more money for would be something like a Pioneer lever belt. I think this one is basically as good as an Inzer forever belt. You just can't compete with it because it isn't sanctioned for competition. But if you're getting ready to compete, I'd recommend getting a Pioneer, anyway.

Jim in the Gym Thanks Jim. I will likely be ordering one soon. ☺️

Can't go wrong with this one. It just isn't approved for competition. Buy with no fear. This is a great belt. You'd have to spend 2 or 3 times more to get a better belt, IMHO.

Buy the real Rogue belts with real leather. Save yourself the time breaking it in and spend the extra $50 for their quality belts that will last you a lifetime (unless it no longer fits you).
