Martin Short keeps the jokes and subtle digs coming so quick and relentlessly, even with his sharp comic peers, that it's all they can do just to keep up. They can only *try* to poke back, or just give up and play straight man like Jack Black did. I can only imagine the craziness that could've been if he had been able to get Robin Williams in one of these... Robin would've been about the only guy that would be as quick on the draw.

I feel like Martin short has this intrinsic ability to understand how successful a certain person is, and then he adjusts his level of criticism to that person. So he really goes at Ben Stiller here because he really respects his work and knows he’s good. So he brings up failing in relation to his parents as a completely ironic point, admitting that he has far surpassed his parents
@robkunkel88332 жыл бұрын
Huh? I don’t see this bit at as anything to do with a level of criticism? It’s comedic set up. “Surpassed his parents” …. Come on now. He does what he does and his parents did what they did. It’s not a big competition for our likes. Love Martin Short. Thanks for posting.
