Such a huge loss for the music industry. He always seemed to be just a great human being. Seeing him live several times I can say he was one of the best concerts out there. A fun fun time everyone has from teenagers on up to 80’s. It’s like everyone loved jimmy! Rest in Paradise Jimmy!!

Jimmy gave my family and I so many memories of concerts and his music is literally our family soundtrack. I find myself silently crying and mourning the memories that won’t be made. I hope it’s pretty up there Jimmy 🦜⛵️😢

I'm just a few years younger than Jimmy but I always thought he'd be round like forever. The morning I heard the news I was surprised that I felt so sad. I felt like I was gonna cry but I didn't. He was a sweetheart of a guy and we'll all miss him

I shed some tears over the weekend as I went back and listened to my favorite songs of his, as well as a few that I had forgotten about. I’ve never ever shed a tear for a public figure before, but losing Jimmy was like losing an old friend. I fell in love with his music in 1975 when “Come Monday” came out. I was 14yo then. I’m 62 now. Jimmy’s music was like the soundtrack to my life. My late husband and I met in college and we actually bonded through our mutual love of JB’s music and lifestyle. We went to many of his concerts through the 80’s and 90’s (until my husband died). We learned how to sail together. My hubs got his pilot’s license. We were researching the “live aboard” lifestyle, even how to homeschool any future children we might have while sailing around the world (this was PRE-INTERNET days in the 80’s). Anyway, Jimmy’s music was an inspiration for how we wanted to live our lives, as well as his “joi de vie.” I, too, felt somewhat surprised at the depth of the grief that I felt this past weekend when I heard the news of his passing. It felt like a “gut-punch.” And it truly felt like I’d lost an old friend. I’m just so thankful that he left us so much music to enjoy… recorded shows that we can watch. We were lucky, indeed, that this man shared his many talents with us for 5+ decades. Rest in paradise, Jimmy. And thank you for the many wonderful memories and experiences. Life was better, easier and a LOT more FUN because you shared your talents with us. God bless and Godspeed JB. I hope you’ve found “that one particular harbor,” and that they have great cheeseburgers and Margaritas in paradise. We Parrot Heads will always love you and carry your music and your poetry with us in our hearts. 💔

He had a hit with Come Monday but learned quickly the music business was not in his best interest. Made money and toured on his own terms! Smart man

My family, including my adult children, went to Key West in May, 2023, and we introduced them to Jimmy and went to Margaritaville! We are all mourning his passing. I saw him in concert in the 80s and will ever be a Parrot Head! Rest in Peace, Jimmy! And War Eagle! (He did attend Auburn)

How I know Jimmy Buffet, is due to my Dad, a Parrothead, always plays his music out by the pool at our house every summer, at an outdoor bar next to it. My siblings and I have so many memories of just floating out there relaxing, every summer. Just warm bliss and a cold drink. He and my Mom would always go to a Buffet concert very other year too. Unfortunately, I was either too young, or just never got the chance. But I love his music nonetheless. Cheeseburger in Paradise always has me craving a meaty cheeseburger.
