Yall are way too focused on what Nick has to say 😂 he obviously down plays Jokic. Not sure why but i dont really care. Its a debate show. Couldnt care less. On the other side of if people are calling Jokic a top 20 player ever for winning 1 chip (Most likely).... Lets be real people. We said the same thing about Giannis. They are the best on the court right now but you need to have, ya know, a CAREER before we can start that conversation. Is he on pace to be one of the best. Sure. God forbid but Jokic could have a season ending injury next year, be out for a year and never come back the same. Or he could never win another title again. Maybe he makes the finals 3 more times and loses. Stop prematurely crowning the man and let him play. I heard the same non sense about Luka. Lets see if these guys can WIN before we start crowning them. 1 championship does not put you in that conversation. Never has and never will.

All playoffs Nick has picked teams to beat Denver, with brilliant logic like Game 1 v Lakers "The Lakers should feel good because Denver played their best game and only won by a few points" Game 3 v Heat "The Heat will win because they can make adjustments better than Denver" And other gems like right now "Is Jokic and Murray both going to get 30pt triple-doubles again?" I don't know, is Miami going to shoot less than 30% from 3 again???? Seems to me Jokic is a walking triple-double. Somehow Nick has thought every team playing the Nuggets is going to duplicate some amazing effort...while he hasn't given any credit to the Nuggets for consistently playing amazing games. Ridiculous Also Nick: the playoffs weren't a fair representation of who Sabonis is And all the while stating he doesn't think Jokic is a great player until he "can do it in the playoffs"

Well Nick had them winning their first two series, he also thought the nuggets would take the Lakers 6 games because of Jokic and Murray and the Lakers had beat them before with similar teams, except the size advantage was flipped, Lakers had the best defense and finals experience and good shooting while Denver was just efficient and big, but we saw the Lakers were gassed from having to play caught up to everybody else just to make the plain while Denver was coasting at the end of the year, I think the nuggets are better but there were several reasons to think the Lakers would beat the nuggets

Nick is wrong about Jokic, by Nicks standard of redifining the game ,Steph has not redifined the game then because people were shooting 3s before him.. heck lebron was shooting long 3s before steph was Steph. But we all know Steph redifined the game because he shoots them at the highest level better than anyone else therefore Jokic has in fact redifined the centre position

Nick keeps reassuring Jokic fans that "I'm not a hater" yet continues to to hate on him... then he brings up Sabonis? Sabonis is not even in the same stratosphere as Jokic. Jokic is absolutely redefining the center position. Period.

The redefining the game part is a player his size playing his position taking it from hoop to hoop and leading the break. No other center that im aware of has ever done that, and been the passer, the hub of the offense, the efficient shooter and drill them from 3. Their running him off pin down screens and inverted PnRs. Only other screen ive sent foe a center was like a flex screen (i believe ita called) to try to get a switch or some space on the low block.

It’s a tad strong, but to be fair, the center position 5 years ago was looking like it was dying, and was just going to be replaced by large wings. Jokic (and give embiid his credit as well) has kinda revitalized the center position and shown what the mold for superstar centers going forward can be
@davidsato7898
@davidsato7898 Жыл бұрын
To be fair he is redifining the center position in NBA, not Basketball. In europe the game is played semi positionless so its not much of a rarity. What is uncommon in Jokic and thus changing the view of the game in general is a willing passing center, which his focus is not bullying people in the paint (which he does), but distributes the ball and keep all the players involved. He now makes the defender spread their focus on other players, not double teaming the big.

it's not a little strong it's accurate.... i'll prove it to you.... show me another center in the entire history of basketball who ran the entire offense.... so, not a center who is a good passer, not a center who leads the league in screen assists (which jokic did this year and IS not an actual assist of which he also has 10 per game) not a guy who swings the ball around because he has to because he can't shoot if he is out on the perimeter, not a guy who simply has the skill level.... but a guy who actually AND TRULY runs the entire offense and if he is not on the floor the team plays a completely different basketball game because there is no replacing what he is and what he does i'll save you the trouble.... there are none... it's only jokic... by himself.... so yes, he redefined the game in a massive way
@Kevinschart

Joker is a one of one. How is he not redefining the game? I guarantee you GM's are scratching their heads trying to figure out rosters that can stop a guy like Jokic. If they don't they'll be playing catch up like everyone did with Steph.

Nick's defence: 'I said whoever wins game 3 between Nuggets and Lakers wins the series and I was right. I'm 1-0'. So he effectively picked either team for game 3 (one being up 2-0) and then claims that's a strong take 😂😂.

Just like every other NBA analysis, if you play the game, you understand that certain people make it exceptionally hard to score than others do. Meaning defensive assignments is just as important as scoring.

If he finishes this series out on the same roll he’s instantly on Butlers level minimum if playoff performer which makes him an all timer.
