The issue for Suns in this game is not scoring, its that they allowed Clippers without PG and Kawhi to score 130 points. They gave up Cameron Johnson and Bridges and just like Dallas its going to hurt them.

If you watched the game you'd notice the refs gave allot of fouls to the Clippers in the 4th, the Suns ended up with 4 more than the Clippers, but as soon as the 4th started the refs started calling ticky tac fouls.

I think Durant is mostly concerned about winning, kind of like Lebron. Lebron gets heat for "making the right play." KD knows a big part of his value is his gravity. If he stands in the corner he knows the entire defense has to shift, and that makes it easier for his teammates, which makes it easier to play team ball and get a win. He knows what he's doing.

He’s also super efficient and never needs a lot of shots. If he jogged the ball and took 25 shots a game Durant would average 35 a game. Booker trying to make sure it doesn’t seem like he’s carried by the stars he was handed. He has no choice but to go hard

Yep. That’s why so many of these guys are getting injured. All season long all these superstars sit out the 2nd game of back to backs for “rest” but what ends up happening is they get to the playoffs and their bodies aren’t used to playing so many games in such a short amount of time which leads to them getting injured. In the playoffs you can’t just sit out unless your actually injured and what does the playoffs have? A game literally every other day pretty much. Load management is having the opposite effect it’s supposed to and on top of that these guys clearly aren’t taking the time to go through the preparation players did in years past. That combined with the fact that the pace of the game has increased pretty significantly are both factors causing all the injured players

Broussard is spot on. Everyone's concerned about how close these games were without Kawhi and PG, but lets not forget that the suns traded for KD late at trade deadline, and they've only played 8 regular season games together and KD (and Cam Payne) is still coming off injury. They are quite literally building chemistry as they go. And all things considered, they still look great

I think that they are not giving credit to the clippers bench players. I think the clippers have the best, if not the second, best bench of all the teams in the playoffs this year. Their bench scored 30,34,24 58,and 40 something. Playing against the nuggets, I do think that ayton needs to play great to limit jokic if we want to win.

yep he's standing in the corner causing the entire defense to shift towards him without using a single ounce of energy. KD knows what he's doing. With the numbers book is putting up it's pretty obvious. but this was a depleted clippers team. that strat won't work with a fully healthy opponent.

I think he is underselling the clippers, they are a deep team and if Leonard George were healthy with a Westbrook playing like this (bad and good) I think they could have won the ring. That’s a great perimeter trip and they seem unselfish to win it all and could play some veteran defense although they are older now. It’s goes to the what if department and hopefully they can do it next year if they get that chance and with health on their side.

No team has demanded 65 pts a game from 2 stars on a night-in-out basis other then OKC KD and Russ, but the difference is Book is more efficient and better then Russ EVER was and they have a better supporting cast in CP and Ayton. That team got to the finals, WCF 3x, and numerous other playoff runs that were thwarted by injury. West is weak, they get through the Nuggets I think they come out.

2 teams in one city. Kawhi plays half a season, barely plays post season, hasn't won anything in LA and in fact lost an embarrassing 3-1 lead, ZERO pressure. AD, plays more regular season, plays more post season, won a ring, still under enormous pressure. 2 teams 1 city but a stark contrast in sense of urgency and culture.

It’s interesting that BOS/MIL/PHI/etc. can drop big leads and come back and win and folks didn’t question their contention **based on the above**. Now, factoring in what Brouss said I think is the key: 13 games played together PLUS the above could be concerning definitely. PHX (KD lol) is my team, but I said from jump they need time to build chemistry and figure out how to play around/with K. K changes your offense, defense, everything in between. That takes time to go up against teams who’ve had 82 games and 7-8 months of time together. Still going for PHX-BOS in the Finals tho!! 🙏🏿

Nice job knowing nothing about basketball, Lue is 3rd best coach behind pop/spoe. Clippers have always been overachieving and not their fault kawhi/pg are injury prone. Ty is the reason Cavs came back from that 3-1 lead, he made them play 4 on 5 by ignoring Barnes and let him brick away open 3’s. Same Barnes who just bricked away another open 3 to cost the kings game 4😂

They don’t get it. KD can be on the floor standing there doing nothing and the other team doubles him. That’s why he can take heavy minutes, and often defers to teammates. He gets 30 a night the easy way. Why would he demand the ball in that case?

Suns are playing a lot of minutes but they seem to be just playing around and having fun. I don't think they are feeling the fatigue.

Clearly load management doesn’t work. When you don’t go hard most of the time and take so much time off your body isn’t ready to go all out when you need to play hard in my opinion.

The fact that the suns are gonna have to constantly play their starters 35+ minutes while denver has home court gives Denver the advantage when they got enough guys to keep the starters from having to match those minutes

The suns have enough to compete but if they run into a Boston and lakers who can score and play defense it will be tougher. They still have an extremely high chance of winning the chip
