Under the Carter administrations the US military never dropped a single bomb or fired a single bullet, I feel that deserves a lot of credit and you also didn't mention the Camp David Accords.

He also started to fix the hyper-inflation crisis by appointing Paul Volcker to the Federal Reserve, despite the fact that Volcker said he would raise interest rates to squeeze the inflation out of the economy. It caused a recession, causing Carter to lose reelection; nevertheless, Reagan wisely reappointed Volcker, and inflation was cured to a healthy level by ‘82, around/less than 3 years since Carter appointed him.

Gets a lot of unfair criticism. Even Bill Clinton wouldn't have been able to deal with the global conditions of an OPEC oil crisis and a recalcitrant Iran

He was kinda weak and thrust into rough times, so a lot of the criticism is kind of unfair. He did the best he could, so he certainly earns my respect.

Here is a bit of a shock. AF1 landed in the Azores, Portugal and almost crashed on takeoff, June 1979. Had I not seen the flag still attached to the left outboard engine cowling. AF1 would have exploded halfway down the runway. Killing all 20+ people onboard. Glad I could help!!

I do believe Reagan was a much better president, and a much more qualified person for the financial crisis, but Carter has a lot of unfair blame, the financial crisis was insane and I doubt most presidents could have handled it, but my favorite thing about Carter is that he refused to shoot a single bullet even when American lives had been lost, he would rather take the hit then continue a longer war that would kill more people, he had amazing morals, and was very much against war. He was a good man with good morals and not corrupt, just not fit for president with what they were facing.

Jimmy Carter won because Ford was a fill-in President that seemed woefully incapable of being President. Unfortunately, Carter was even worse compared to Ford. Ronald Reagan blew Carter away as far as greatness in the White House. Reagan could do it all and speak eloquently in the process.
