This is Plains, Georgia, hometown of President Jimmy Carter. Today, I will show you the famous Smiling Peanut statue, the Carter home which is also where his future grave will be located, Downtown Plains, the train depot where Carter held his Presidential campaign headquarters, the Billy Carter Service Station, Maranatha Baptist Church where Jimmy Carter taught Sunday School for years, and much more. When I was a little kid I had a Jimmy Carter stuffed peanut I got it at a carnival

I don't think he was a really good president, but he was a wonderful peacemaker between countries. What I love about him is his faith and his determination to help those less fortunate. He had a good heart...and it was evident in how he lived his life.
