😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 when I was 15 my mother helped an homeless woman. She invited her into our home. And this lady was broken my mother helped her to get a home and helped her come off alcohol and this was her favourite song. My mum played this song for her over and over again. This woman ended up overcoming her demons. And live a strong woman and still is... This is her favourite song. X

a perfect synthesis of lyric and melody, from the golden age of rock. If you can listen to this and be unmoved then you are probably too young to understand the bittersweet fragility of life. Thanks Jimmy

The best version of this song is on the Jimmy Cliff 1976 live concert album. It absolutely dominates all other versions. Makes you feel like you're traveling the white cliffs of Dover with him.

I didn't realize that he wrote this song - Once - I would love to hear him perform this - allowing me to update the arrangement and use a 14 piece orchestra - The arrangement (musical piece) has untapped potentials and his voice, together with the arrangement, done by a 14 piece orchestra - could literally create the emotions of a World Peace Anthem... The man has such genius talent and that requires the depths of emotions, most can't even imagine. He is a Star's Star. ☮
