I had a dentist appt this morning. I thought it was covered and it wasn't. I just stood there with a stupid look on my face and said no thank you to every suggestion the receptionist had. I'm broke. Dead broke. I've had 6 teeth pulled in as many years, and some were missing before that. They actually ushered me in, gave me a 'complimentary' cleaning (while I cried🙃) and had the dentist fill my front teeth smooth and closer to white. When he handed me the mirror, I broke down and practically BAWLED. 🥹❤❤❤ I did have coverage for the fillings. Teeth are soooo important for so many reasons. I will remember this kindness until the day I die! Praise God! 😁🎉

Absolutely. It affects how you talk, how you laugh, how you interact everywhere. My boss even asked me about my teeth. I was so embarrassed. Even with insurance they still wanted $8k. My teeth were perfect till my late teens. I liked where’ing the stupid masks during covid because it hid my teeth.

It’s both… I lost mine to kidnapping/SA and no matter how big my heart I’ll never be able to smile publicly again.

At my previous job, I was a career service advisor and many of our students didn’t have teeth so it was very hard for them to get jobs but our company was partnered with a dentistry or something where we sent them fake teeth. And other companies to get them clothes for the interviews.
