Jimmy makes his kids' favorite dish “Pasta Tina” while giving step-by-step instructions so that you can make it too.
Ingredients -
Salt
Olive Oil
1 Box of Small-Sized Pasta
1 Can of Cannellini Beans (or dried cannellini beans if you have the patience to soak them overnight)
3 Cloves of Garlic (Squashed)
A Spoonful of Minor’s Chicken (Or Vegetable) Base
Good Parmesan Cheese
Recipe -
1. Boil a pot of water with a little salt.
2. Add the pasta to the boiling water for about 8 minutes.
3. While the pasta is cooking, begin your sauce by blending the cannellini beans. Try not to cut your finger.
4. Take 3 cloves of garlic, squash them, remove from the skin, and place them in a pot over medium-low heat with a little olive oil. If you want to get fancy, you can tilt the pot and place the garlic in the olive oil to infuse the flavor and really get the garlic lightly golden. If the garlic browns, throw it away and start over.
5. Stir the pasta and make sure it isn’t sticking to the bottom
6. Once the garlic is golden, remove it from the pot (optional), add the blended cannellini beans, and add a spoonful of the Minor’s chicken (or vegetable) base. Stir everything together.
7. When the pasta is ready, drain it in a colander, put the pasta back into the large pot, and add the cannellini bean sauce. Mix it all up.
8. Serve with GOOD parmesan cheese. It’s good for your life.

I believe (could be wrong) that they’ve been filming mostly in the kids’ playhouse. Could be that this is the playhouse kitchen and not the kitchen in the main house bc they want to protect their privacy. It does seem like a bit of a humble kitchen for someone with his net worth but also I guess there are some people who prefer it that way!
@13loodydove46
@13loodydove46 4 жыл бұрын
I like that the kitchen isn't huge, like the size of an average livingroom. Now a days you see video of people's kitchens and I'm like "how much space do you need". My whole working life I've worked in kitchens, and I have my associates in pastry, and I'll tell you, I like having everything close by, reaching difference or a step or two away. And a lot of these huge kitchens I see and I'm like "... I bet that never gets used" like they have big kitchens but never cook. Like it's an art installation "this piece is Kitchen... by DairyAir"

We have a pretty big kitchen, but my family uses every inch of it. About half the counter space is taken up by appliances. The other half is used when cooking or baking. Especially the baking. You need a lot of counter space when making your own dough for nut roll or other such dessert. But I recognize that my family are the odd man out. I think I only know like four other people who know how to bake.

We use the word "pastina" to refer to the type of pasta. Usually is cooked in meat broth and sometimes we add a creamy cheese (formaggino Mio) I don't know if that exist in US. Technically is something that babies eat when they're sick or when they start to transition from milk to solid food, but actually I'm 22 and sometimes I eat it (and I think not only me but a lot of others Italians too 😂), especially in winter, is kinda good

@@MOsuna-xy8od Canned beans taste a little sour bc of the brine; I would rinse them a few times, and I'd puree them with vegetable broth or even water. I prefer dried beans, and you don't have to soak them overnight -- you can either soak them for a couple of hours, or you can skip the soak but you;ll need to cook them longer. Dried are cheaper, too -- about 1/3 the price of canned -- so I buy dried organic beans (about $2.50/lb vs $1/lb for non-organic).

I finally made this! I cooked more garlic than is called for. I also added the garlic, olive oil and can of beans to a blender with some cracked pepper. I used macaroni. I had fresh grated Parm, but you really don't even need it. I used Better Than Boullion for the soup base and only a teaspoon as it is pretty concentrated.
