Logan's right, they're not serious people. It's hard to root for the Roy kids when they keep getting in their own way.

Connor fucking me up more than any real failson possibly could. Truly one of the darkest monologues I have ever heard.

The kids in this episode felt so bonded and it took less than 5 minutes for Logan to come in and shit all over it. Hence The "You're not serious people" line hitting hard. Roman is an abused child, forever deep down loyal to his master Logan. I'm very intrigued on what Kendall has up his sleeve as he looked very happy at the end of the episode.

Man that scene with Logan and the kids was so sad. Logan’s a master manipulator, but there is some fucked up, twisted parental love there. He’s not wrong in his assessment of the kids, but he’s the one who created the situation. Roman’s line about deserving the abuse followed up with the double whammy of Connor telling us what he’s probably told himself his whole life to keep him sane, that he doesn’t need love from anyone, was heartbreaking. They’re all just such broken people. Entitled pieces of shit, but it’s hard not to feel some kind of emotion at people so fundamentally empty deep down, and that are sort of aware of it. It’s just a sad, sad situation. They’ve all shown us time and again they deserve each other and yet on a human level nobody deserves to live like that. I don’t know how the show made me emotionally connect with characters that I’d absolutely despise in real life, but somewhere along the way they done it.

I think the main issues here are - Shiv thinks she is smarter than she is Kendall : I mean we dunno exaclty how long it was since season finale, but clearly not long enough for him to start caring for his life, he knows this will ruin the deal, he even knows Shiv is wrong and its not beneficial to none of his siblings to vote with Stewy- but he still is willing to do it, just for laughs and giggles. He is probably the smartest, but still the most broken. Logan : the things is that he was the one that started mixing personal and business, he played around with the emotions of his kids long enough to break them...and now that the toys are broken he is mad....

As a Swede seeing Skarsgård eating Bilar and drinking julmust made me laugh. it's like the most stereotypical swedish things you can find. it's like an American eating a burger and drinking a bud light Julmust means christmas soda and they only sell it during christmas so him drinking it randomly shows that he can get whatever he wants

Conner is a fool, but he does love all of his siblings, and doesnt deserve the abuse Roman dropped on him. 8:54 Greg's loyalty to Tom is as misguided as Tom's is to Logan. 12:02 Logan is a liar and a sociopath and I dont believe anything he says. 13:28 Roman justifying his own abuse made me very sad. 13:46 Logan lets the mask slip off. He got pissed because they wouldnt bow to him. 14:20 Conner made me sad as well. 15:20 Roman crawling back to his dad was among the saddest things I have seen. The kids are being stupid for various reasons. They all have bad issues from their abusive relationship with their monster of a father. Kids grow up wanting to either kill the abuser, or get back at them, or try to get the approval they could never get.

Man Logan is SO fucking good and interesting this season already. In particular the scene with his bodyguard last episode and the karaoke scene here feel so unlike any scene we've ever seen Logan. Really feels like they're pulling out all the stops this final season.

Best theme song for a DRAMA, definitely. Fresh Prince intro is still goated though

I am pretty sure after watching first two episodes the awards are gonna get swept this season. It's lovely two of my favorites and possibly the best shows on tv Better Call Saul ended last year with that Mammoth Final Season and now Succession is gonna end.

Logan was dead on balls accurate. And honest in that moment. Connor, we already know is diff 🥴🫣, Kendall is broken & his thoughts are real, but his movements are always so chaotic, & unstable. Shiv is never going to open up or commit to anything whole-heartedly from her own issues, & Roman is the only poss one whom could prob handle things in the end, because he is shrewd, most like Logan in many ways, & would keep how Logan did things, knowing it’s a winning formula. But he is so broken also, he will always use emotions & hide that he does, in making decisions, right or wrong. Loved loved this episode!!! Connor’s no one loves me mini-speech was sad as hell, yet worked well. "Succession" is certainly up there, and probably the best one (currently), but all time ... I don't know ... Like I realize "Imagine Dragons" is an acquired taste, but "Enemy" has a really nice hook, and I'm also partial to "WKRP in Cincinnati", "The Critic", "Justice League: Unlimited" and the animated series edition of the "Beetlejuice" main theme. I also like "Galavant", but I don't know how that plays for someone who isn't a 90s-renaissance-Disney-Kid/Frustrated-aging-theater-brat.

Game of Thrones has to be in conversation for best theme song, but going off of music alone i would still give it to Succession. Including visuals, i think GoT is a better overall sequence, but nothing can touch this dark classical piano & drum combo.

The kids are an absolute waste of time. They just closed the biggest deal of their lifetime and are already brainstorming ways to f it up. Nothing is ever good enough for the kids and they only care about getting their father’s attention when he’s made it abundantly clear that he’s just not that kind of father. All of these kids need serious therapy. Connor might be the only kid that actually gets it.
