Tackling the longest 4x4 route in the country, the famous Namaqua Eco 4x4 trail Adventure begins!
In this episode we leave our Kamgab campsite and work our way back up the same obstacles of the dry riverbed we come down from the previous epissde. A long days drive is ahead of us with multiple changes of scenery before we finally stumbled upon a little oasis of a camping spot hidden between the koppies of the Richtersveld.

Mike and I head up to the Northern Cape to explore the famous Namaqua Eco 4x4 Route & Richtersveld National Park travelling all along the Orange River. At 600km in total, this route is the longest in South Africa and also one of the prettiest.

I went past those rock heaps two weeks ago. Built one myself. It 53deg celc measured in shade. Amarok auto

It's difficult to describe to others the intense and stagnant heat. I'm just glad I didn't have any overheating issues with the V8 on that trip.

@@HendriMouton i can't imagine a breakdown in such a place. Sunblock was an oily mess almost boiling off us when we spent the day at the river. Hey did you see thumbprint mountain? You go past it when passing the last farm before entering the space leading to the rock heaps. You have to look back east to see it

Hendri another excellent episode of your adventure, footage & drone shots are excellent showing that spectacular scenery, so much enjoying this adventure & looking forward to the next installment here in West Australia. Would like to see more of your camp set-up & what equipment (cooking etc) you take between the 2 vehicles .So much enjoying your videos

Thanks Michael! Will do a future video with the camping setups. It was very simplistic for this trip as we usually tow trailers with their kitchen setups. Sometimes just nice to keep things simple

How has your fuel consumption been on the Jimny, I’m sure the roof rack has damaged it😂

The roof rack sure made a big difference on the highway speed and also handling. I recall the overall average fuel consumption was about 8kml on the Jimny
