Every member is a master of their craft. Tatiana's vocals are jaw-dropping, but Eugene's bass skills are OOTW. Vlad and Roman kill it on drums and guitar. Just top shelf.
@caseyp174 жыл бұрын
Yeah I feel like Eugene gets overlooked waaay too often, but he is definitely one of the sickest bass players I've ever had the opportunity to hear play.
@FantasticDimensions4 жыл бұрын
@@caseyp17 it's the bass player curse. Easily the most overlooked, despite providing the backbone to most of the music (along with the drummer of course).
@j.f.fisher53184 жыл бұрын
@@caseyp17 the other side though is that people aren't used to noticing the bass. I don't think the thought "I really like that bass" has ever entered my head until I heard Pisces the first time. So when we notice Eugene we are impressed. But we are all used to guitarists doing grandstanding guitar solos, but Roman is playing a part of a team so he hardly ever gets a chance to really show off. So if anyone forgets about one member of Jinjer it is usually Roman. And that makes me sad cuz he is doing some really good work, just not showy work, because Jinjer's sound isn't like that.

First on the second day. They were still the perfect wakeup call that morning XD Before my favorite "first performance in the morning" at a festival was Channel Zero at Werchter in 1996 or 1997. The moment "Dum du du Dum Dum Dudummmm, Dum du du Dum Dum Dudummmm, Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp, strangers bearing down on me, Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp, no one else can cry for me, Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp, what is going wrong with me, Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP sounded, the entire terrain went from half a sleep to ready to fucking parteh. Jinjer at Wacken blew them out of the water.

Been hooked ever since. I'm sure you'll do Judgement (& Punishment) next, but after that, you should check out Sit Stay Roll Over. And be sure to look at their Bus Invaders video. You'll see how down to earth, and humble they are. And how goofy Tatiana is! Love her personality. Edit- Digging that 49ers cap! My favorite football team. Hope they can do something this year. 3-0 ain't a bad start!

Funny you mentioned the crowd haha. They were on the main stage at Wacken Open Air, which is the worlds largest metal festival (in the small german town of Wacken). they were scheduled at the awful time of 11.30 in the morning and the crowd was pretty dead for Wacken standards (which is understandable, lot's of hangovers) they still rocked out amazingly... If they keep growing like they are, they could easily do Wacken at a prime slot (evening slot) with a wild crowd.

rubbish, it's not the world largest metal festival.!! lots of metal & rock festivals are bigger - download festival uk, hellfest france, rock werchter belgium, mad cool spain, roskilde denmark, reading & leeds uk - they are all way bigger.!! but wacken open air is without any doubt the world's worst metal festival.! crowd is fun but packed with absolutely embarrassing people. btw: jinjer played second stage, not main stage.!
@Sense0084 жыл бұрын
@@godscoldhands77 Calling Roskilde or Rock werchter 'Metal festivals' is taking liberty with the truth. Both will have a few metalbands more rock bands and a LOT of popular music, and are otherwise regular (and still very fun!) music festivals. I can't speak for the UK metal festivals, though given you have included Roskilde and Rock Werchter, I imagine them to be the same. Wacken is a specifically Metal festival, Roskilde and Rock Werchter are not. And there are much larger festivals throughout europe(Szyget comes to mind), but none cater specifically and exclusively to metal. Another festival I know that is similar to Wacken in that it caters specifically to metal is Metaldays in Slovenia
