Hello friends
I made a pocket hole jig without using a drill.
It can be made with metal spacers and wood offcuts that can be purchased for 1 $.
The plan is here ↓
jisaku-koubou.com/downloads/p...
【Plan List】
jsk-koubou.stores.jp/
You do not need a Kreg drill to open the pocket hole.
Of course, Kreg screws are also unnecessary.
It can be joined without problems with a low cost general purpose drill bit and a course thread.
If you look at this video, you no longer need to buy the expensive "Kreg" !
Goodbye "Kreg"!

Your channel is so refreshing compared to the American woodworking channels. No endless talking, no click baits, no scenes from movies, no sponsored content, no affiliate links, no stupid editing and cover the camera transition, no 30 minutes of boring milling wood . Just original ideas, start with the product and functionality, and then the build - simple and to the point. I wish there where more channels like yours.

Interesting design. Instead of trying to precisely drill specific angles, you just create the metal tube set up and glue it in between two pieces of wood at the angle you want. Simple but smart. I’m impressed. Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻

You're a true master craftsman JSK, and you've really has inspired me to make this 'no-drill' version because every time I tried to make one of these using a drill the twin holes were misaligned with each other. It's almost impossible to get them parallel, except if you do it this way. Definitely my fun project this Lockdown Saturday.

Thank you for your video, just what I was looking for to make shelves in the garage. Two different types of wood makes a difference. I am going to use some quarter or half inch scrap copper pipe instead of the metal spacers, I think copper will make it look even better.

Muy cierto. Adios Kreg.

Long, long time ago we nailed or screwed wood to wood in ways that came to mind, and everything worked well. There were no Kregs nor Woodpeckers and no one talked about "pocket hole jigs". How things have changed! Just you go ahead making your jigs one way or another and be happy. Pay no attention to those looking for jigs and finding falts with yours. Australian subscriber.

Great video as always! Simple, yet practical. Even though I am not a professional wood worker, I remember at least several occasions such a tool would ease my life. If you all ow me a very small "improvement" of the jig without any additional effort, I would suggest to stick the masking tape on the side, engrave the logo, which in turn would create the stencil but also a shallow engraved logo in the wood. Spray the paint and then remove the masking tape. This way this beautiful logo will never be worn off by everyday use ! 🙂

Bwaahh hah hah - but one obviously doesn't need a panel cutting saw. (In fact that was a little weird - seems like he's showing off his own self-built tools. So (a) you don't need to "afford" one - you can build one, and (b) if you can't chop a piece of wood that size without a panel saw....sigh. >;-)

I may have multiple comments. At first sight..it appears that this is a 15 degree angle. As I think about this You could draw a parallel line to the incline and that would help guide the drill bit. Excellent video. Lots of inspiration. I plan to make my own version today. Necessity is the mother of inventions.

No special screws are required. >>apply only very light pressure? If you have never tried it, why can you say that? You are deceived by kreg's advertisement In this method, there is a strength that can withstand the 175 N · m impact of Makita “TD161 DRGX”.
@bertkutoob
@bertkutoob 5 жыл бұрын
@@jisakukobo Well, he does have a bit of a point about wood splitting when driving screws into end grain but, since you're joining plywood, it is less of a concern, if any. And, since the issue is about splitting end grain, one would have thought the lack of a pilot hole would be a greater concern than that of the wedge effect of using a countersink head screw.
