I was jst practicing this, u gotta turn ur toes in towards ur opponent and squeeze ur knees together, keep ur leg comfortable and ask ur teammate if they can pull their leg out. If it takes them longer to take their leg out then it takes for u to finish the achilles ur doing it well. The reason i mention to point ur toes inward is cause u can remove their leg if u push part of the foot closer to the toes outward they can peel ur leg off

Yea, straight ankle locks are legal for all belt levels.

How to mske it easier to make leg cross over? Whenever I try opponent usually stops it from happening
