During a press conference, JJ Redick said Bronny James " earned" his chance with the Los Angeles Lakers. Bronny signed a four-year contract worth $7.9 million guaranteed. Jason McIntyre discusses what to expect from the new head coach and rookie. In the NFL, the New York Giants went viral after a Hard Knocks snippet showed the front office discussing Saquon Barkley's future after signing Daniel Jones long-term. Giants GM Joe Schoen emphasized that this "is the year" for the QB. JMac discusses whether Jones will bounce back.

This is hard to listen to. Equating the giant’s o-line issues to “everyone has o-line issues”. Giants ranked last in quarterback support in 2023. I’m fully convinced everything that comes out his this guy’s mouth is rage bait.

It would probably bother ppl less if they just openly said they pick Bronny bc of LeBron. The bucks didn’t try to convince the world that Thanasty has a roster spot because he can be a legit rotation player - he’s there bc Giannis wanted him there

The difference is that Giannis was just throwing his brother a payday. No expectation. LBJ literally helped manipulate the draft so his son could come to LA with the expectation that he would play.

This wouldn't bother me if the Lakers just stopped pretending like they picked Bronny for any reason other than the fact that he's LeBron's son. It's a cool story and I'll definitely watch them play together, but stop with the "he earned it" nonsense. If Jerry West were still with us, I'm sure he would let JJ Redick know that Bronny's stats are also online.

I'm glad none of those guys don't run the Giants. There are probably 30 WR that make more than Barkley, Giants don't have one of those WR. Their isn't one successful NFL team whose highest paid offensive weapon is an RB. It would have been starter for the Giants to pay OL like they did, paying top-tier Edge rusher ( Brian Burns), or spend it on improving their WR core. Not paying a RB 14m. That's what losing teams do, team with paying a rookie QB or teams trying to make SB push like Baltimore, Philly, or 49ers. I don't remember the Patriots, Chefs, or SB Giants teams with top paid RB.

Well now he has to earn it and now we're going to find out if he's good or if he sucks. anybody would do that for their kid. "No kid You can't come to the NBA You have to earn it yourself" Not one of you mouth breathers would keep your kid from going to the NBA if you had some influence over it.

@@dariuspaker7960 Exactly. Even in our day to day lives we see it all the time. Take a look at local small businesses like plumbers, electricians, landscapers etc...the majoirty of those companies are named: "Blank *and sons* electric"...or plumbing whatever...you get it. Was their son really the best electrician they could have hired? Highly doubt it. Nobody complains about that nepotism though...even though in theory that could impact you way more than an NBA second round pick. The Lakers should at least admit it though. Stop insulting our intelligence. Bronny is there because he's LeBron's son. I think being honest would irritate people a lot less.

The Giants GM saying, "Mahomes couldn't win with their line" is an insult on two fronts. First, he his calling himself a bad evaluator of line talent. Second, he is calling his own players bad. Just wow... wow...

@moestacks1671 their 2022 draft class has not panned. The 2023 draft class yielded 1 decent pick. And the 2024 draft class is not looking great.

As for 24 they haven't even played a game yet. This dude drafts 1000% better than the last two gms combined. Yes Neal has been rough to watch but most have been producing above expectations.

How do you know Bronny didn’t earn it. Both of Lebrons kids are always at the facility working out so the Lakers have seen what he’s capable of. And if you look at what they just gave Max Christie 4 years 7.9 million is a steal, if Bronny turns out to be anything.

I wonder if the people bashing the LeBron-Lakers drafting Bronny thing know, that some people in America, only need to make a phone call to a provost at Harvard or Stanford and get children admitted. Everywhere in America is who you know. The way the criticism would be deserved is if Bronny sucks and JJ keeps playing him.
