I really like the conviction in these Gurus voices. They really mean well for this country,if only our President would listen to their advice and clean up the hot mess that is Kenya at the moment.

This is rich and deep debate; great minds in discussion. I have never seen PLO and Muluka differ very strongly, but it is great that they keep it civil and based on objective premises... I still cannot believe my ears when I recall DP saying that corruption does not matter and it cannot prevent any focused leader from realizing development.. goes a long way to tell you how corrupt the DP is.. so much so that he has no idea what is theft and what is decent business or income. .. and YES, Uhuru must be decisive in the corruption fight. For his appointees, he must be firm and direct in dealing with them, while for those under DCI and DPP telescope, he must let them be hounded effectively via the courts..... There is always a direct relationship between the electorate and the leadrers they elect. So our leaders reflect who we are, the majority of Kenyans. They did not catapult themselves into the positions they hold. Do not cry. Go to church and you will have egaliterianism. Thanks.

Why cry over Raila to oppose government all the time? RAO was not the only one granted constitutional rights to be opposition. Who pays him to be opposition. We always vote for status quo... Let RAILA finish his time in government. It's time for other people to prove their capacity. RAILA has opened up an opportunity to people to prove their prowess.

from where i sit, i think multi- partysim is something akake to the african people and young democracies! i believe, that what we need is a single party but strong representation from the different regions! blindly copying the american or british or a hybrid system is not helpful! i am a bit apolitical but i believe if for example a powerful party can rally people around it and actually work for the people! we might see the chinese leadership as autocratic but i think they have their citizens at heart! nothing personal only my opinion! we need people who think of the populace not their own egos!

I wondered the same thing,Who decides that we need a referendum????Who decides which community support who ??? Who told us its wrong to use our brains.....I know for sure tribalism is not as rampant as we assume it to be,Politicians us this when they are in desperation n due to social stress n hopelessness most of us fall for this crap..Most of us are miss informed on most issues and that makes it easy for politicians to parapet use us as they please.

It was bound to happen. In a BBC article on fb, while Zimbabweans were celebrating the ouster of Mugabe, scores of Africans in other countries were voicing concerns whilch Zimbabweans could not perceive. No blame intended as one commenter illustrated, Zimbabweans didn't have the privilege of being ruled by a different leader, so the didn't see the better part of Mugabe and the evils he had been fighting since independence. The White Imperialist!

The commons with great common senses in leadership are not recognized by Kenyan population. If your dad was no big wig or known, they will not vote for you. But thieves who have amassed wealth they will always get a pass irrespective of manner they acquired. I think we are at point where we need to break away from the known to unknown citizens assuming leadership and then we will evolve. From there Kenyans will enjoy leaders they put in offices.

The only problems with us Kenyans is when the election period comes, we all run and cling to our tribal line parties, ending up voting leaders who are most known in our tribes instead of voting leaders who are best suit to lead the country. Right now we pretend as if we care for our country and all the corruption happening, but come 2022, it will all be tribal

The problem starts when we go to the polls .We vote for people who makes deals among themselves to take over after one retires .We go to their campaign rallies which they invest heavily on, accept their bribes ,and when they come to office we complain all the way to the next election.,Then we make the same mistake again .

Uhuru was not even presidential material. He does not know the reason why he ran to be a president of Kenya. The reason why he is president of Kenya only he himself knows, but as layman he did this to save his back from ICC but not to lead Kenya to prosperity but unto darkness and distruction.
