Installed RacerStar motor and esc, changed out the shock oil to a thicker oil, fixed the drive shaft problem and a few other things. Oh I forgot to mention the steering servo that I put in it. Its a HD servo, 20kg and waterproof.

Awesome video man! Question, I'm looking to change my shock oil. How hard was it to take the shock caps off and how did you do it? I hate the rebound of the stock fluid that's in them.

Careful with the brake setting on the programmer. Sure makes it front flip if you make it too strong.

P. K. Yep! I only have it on 25% and that is plenty.

Good job man ... Hi, I have broken a part of differential of my J3SPEED, I'm waiting for replacement. I'm not a expert, is my first rc car. It's ok a diff lubes 7k weight ??? maybe more ... less weight. Thanks for help
@rcimmortals4376 жыл бұрын
If you have broken your diff, how tight is your slipper clutch? You need to adjust it so it'll slip when coming of a jump and landing or on a high bite surface and given full throttle. The oil in the stock diff doesn't seem to be to thick so depends if you want to experiment with the 7k oil, it may make it handle better and be awesome. Let me know if its better k ;-) I put 2000 cst oil in my shocks and that made them work a lot better, using the same oil in the diffs should be fine if you wanted to do that.

Do you often break EA1071 (a cup of differential)? I broke for 2 months 4 pieces: (

No i haven't experienced that yet, unlucky mate. For me, It's probably just a matter of time lol.

Would you mind putting the link or the actual name of the servo? What do you think so far?
@rcimmortals4376 жыл бұрын
Robert Porteous I take it back, there's nothing wrong with the servo! I had the gyro installed incorrect that was making it act weird. After changing things around its a really decent servo and water proof. How did you manage to get that movement of the main driveshaft?
@rcimmortals4376 жыл бұрын
Federico Denti There was 2 hard rubber o rings in the drive cups, what the drive shaft sits in. I simply removed them. Do you have one of these rc's? Was the drive shaft the same with no movement?
@federicodenti2476 жыл бұрын
Rc Immortals No, I don't, but I'm planning to buy a JLB J3speed soon :)
@rcimmortals4376 жыл бұрын
That's awesome, yeah I recommend you do this. Having less load on the motor is always a good thing, the motor wouldn't get as hot or as hot as fast. Will this be your first RC?
@federicodenti2476 жыл бұрын
Rc Immortals yeah, sort of. I had a nitro RC car when I was a child, but I was completely unable to run it. As time passed I realized that choosing as first RC a nitro car was a bad mistake :D
@rcimmortals4376 жыл бұрын
Yep ;-) electric is the way to go! I have had a couple of friends who have had nitro rc's and seeing some of the troubles they have had. Its much easier to just plug a battery in and go.
