Hey long time j3 speed owner. By far best car for the price on the market. Dang near bullet proof besides the bevel gear and slipper clutch.. Holy crap u found monkey hobby.. best place for jlb. I've shopped them for 2yrs now. They stand behind their stuff

Not quite a traxxas or arrma, but the jlb is definitely better than the zd racing, or dhk trucks.

great video. i love my J3Speed. It's easy to work on and fast as lightening. I upgraded the servo and put all metal upgrade on the front. A arms and knuckles. . that helps keep the front down on acceleration . The shell is strong but I agree, i didn't really like the blue so a wee paint job. . . black with a red stripe on the sides. now it looks class. Also, i ordered the dumboRC6X and 6X receiver with a gyro. This thing is gonna be a serious beast. Good man for the video

Appreciate the comment. The metal arms on front for extra weight is a good idea, I might have to try it in the future. So far I have been really happy with how durable the arms and knuckles have been though so did not plan to upgrade.

@@worthshop to be honest buddy i really like the blue a arms and knuckles. They didn't break on me ever. I was eyeing up the all metal front for 6 months before i bought them. I've only had a few packs running time with the new set up but it's great. I put a wee fan on through motor too. I'm curious how the gyro i ordered will affect handling. You got a great place there... Do you you like truck's? 😂 Good man

Hey on your slipper clutch. Vk and the other big brands have spring slippers. Well don't fit on our slipper sharft. Go to Walmart buy a assortment pack of faucet grommets and but the small rubber grommet on the shaft of your slipper clutch. No more stripped or broke slipper shafts..

On the rear diff. The housing gets worn out and stretchy.. u have to shim the rear diff so u don't strip the bevel gear. (Which is the only weak point of the j3. What I do is take the little cap out of an old bearing (looks like a thin washer) and put it in between the drive shaft cup and the housing of the diff to push the teeth on diff to farther to the right side of the car. If I'm looking down the car from back to front long ways. The diff needs help being pushed tight to the gear that is attached to the back of the slipper clutch U know the gear on that shaft that goes through the diff housing. Side ways gear to sideways gear get to much play over time and need shimmed

The gyro is a must Entirely diff. Beast. It's drivable.. I bought a sky gyro for 8 bucks off of ebay plug and play and I swear 1000.00 vehicles ain't j3 good..
