Yeah and I think KZfaqrs kinda play into that too. A lot of them have boundaries about their personal lives (like dating) and ask their audience to stay out of it. So the younger generations are kinda learning to just not care about actual celebrities lives as well. And of course there's the fact that people are more aware of classism and don't look up to billion/millionaires because we know how they contribute to the growing economic crisis

idk people are still into beyoncé 😅 i think part of jlo’s problem is that she seems to not have a great grasp of the current market like not putting out an album in 10 years and then asking for ticket prices that cost more than most other acts when the demand for her isn’t as big does not sound that thought out and definitely doesn’t make her more likable to the public. people like an underdog story more than one of overconfidence tbh.

It’s a combination of a) the most relevancy she’s had in the past 15 years being her American Idol judging and b) nobody wants to pay damn near rent to go to a concert for someone that hasn’t been truly relevant since the 2000s

I paid $99 (plus fees) to go to a Foo Fighters concert in Madison Square Garden with seats on the lower level. It was a sold out show and beyond worth the money. JLo charging these exorbitant prices is insane. Not that I would ever go to a JLo concert, but still.

Big yikes. Tbh, most ppl have only heard negative things about JLO in the last decade. Like how she was manufactured as an artist by Mariah Carey's ex to get back at MC, how she doesn't sing most of her songs, how she's horrible to anyone she thinks is "beneath" her, and how she's trying way too hard to prove that "Bennifer" is the greatest love story of our generation... She's just been coasting off of her residual fame from the 00's. She hasn't really done anything productive to make herself relevant again.
