I wonder if that's why my school did away with the cartons after a year or two, and for the rest of grade school, my milk came in a sealed plastic square, which was essentially a square bubble of milk. You were supposed to plunge the straw into the middle, but either you did it too weak and the straw didn't puncture, or you did it too hard and it went through to the other side, and now your milk's all over the table. The straw method never worked, so what a lot of us resorted to was chewing off one of the corners and sucking the milk out through the hole like we were starving infants. I hated those things, but honestly, they were easier to deal with than the cartons.

the paper work for the milk and the fees, so accurate. private schools have fees for their fees. i'm so grateful my mother stuck it out and took me to one for the last four years of high school. it changed my life, but it also definitely changed hers. we used to be middle class. now we're in the middle of sliding down to poverty. but it's fine because i know the difference between father and farther. life's great. 😂

Pro tip: Open the two sides on the milk carton and face the open side to you. Push the open sides back with one hand while holding the box tight with the other. Pull the two sides forward towards your chest, but pinch it closed while doing so, so that the spout is forced open. Finally, you can pinch the tip of the spout and pull it the rest of the way. In 3rd grade, this was the secret skill I was able to possess to always open that milk carton during lunch.

Ha, funny how related this is to me. I'm the kid who is utterly hopeless at math (literally cannot solve anything) and worse of all, my father was an engineer. On top of that, my two eldest siblings who are outstanding at math went to the same school I go to which was just great because my math teachers would always say, "Your siblings were great at math, why aren't you?" and I would always be so ashamed and humiliated, I remember even crying because of that. Now in highschool, my father now works as a teacher at my school and I feel like my math teachers are only giving me a passable grade because I'm the daughter of one of their coworkers and I'm embarrassed because my classmates thinks that too and I feel like a let down to my family and a loser. So yeah...everything's fine?

Dominant traits don't always get passed down. In my case, i had always been the one worst at math in my family, like just anything past basic addition, subtraction, multiplication & division makes my head HURT. yet, both my mom & dad have jobs that involves a lot of number crunching, & my brother graduated with an accounting degree. On the other hand, my affinity for languages (a rather minor trait from my dad's side) got cranked to 11. Where i come from, multilingualism is a common, everyday thing, & i speak & write the commonly used languages in my family, better than anyone in my family. With that said, your kid may just be good at something else instead.
