Joan Baez & Indigo Girls Live at The Greek and Rock Hall

The Indigo Girls join folk music legend Joan Baez on stage to perform Bob Dylan's 1963 Don't Think Twice, It's Alright live in concert at the Greek Theater, Los Angeles, CA July 3, 2014.

2017 update: Both artists perform together again at the 2017 Rock Hall induction ceremony. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame officially announced 2017 inductees: Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Journey, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra and Joan Baez will all join the class of 2017. The induction ceremony will include a performance by Alicia Keys, Mary Chapin Carpenter and the Indigo Girls, in honor of trailblazing singer-songwriter and current inductee Joan Baez.
The news came as a surprise to Joan Baez. "I never considered myself to be a rock and roll artist," she said in a statement. "But as part of the folk music boom which contributed to and influenced the rock revolution of the Sixties, I am proud that some of the songs I sang made their way into the rock lexicon. I very much appreciate this honor and acknowledgement by the Hall of Fame."

Often overlooked is what a fantastic guitar player Emily is. Her beautiful soprano voice is no longer there but she's a better guitar player than ever now.

I also love Joan Baez. For a long time I have listened to her music, over forty years. I met her once, too. I was so excited when she shook hands with me. I didn't want to wash my hand!

The three of them pluck their strings so beautifully together. I could listen to the original Joan Baez version over and over without getting tired of it. Thank you for posting the video and the Hall of Fame update!

So great to hear this concert! I am in So. California area and wanted to go to this concert so much but alas did not have the money for a ticket (expensive) or a car to get there with. Buses would have been too hard to get late after concert and no buses up to the Greek Theater area at night. So... I am.grateful to be able to watch it on this video. Thank you very much for uploading it!. I have been a fan of Joan Baez for many decades and have seen her in concerts in years past - probably last time was at least 10 or 12 years ago.

As always...a brilliant performance by JB. Her energy simply releases the "best" from whomever she shares the stage. Simply beautiful, serene, focused and unsurpassed harmonies. Those IG's can tear up that guitar and mandolin! All around, one of my favorite covers from a time gone by. Joan-you are radiant when you perform. Simply put, dear lady, you dance in the Light when you perform. I have watched you closely and understand you have been given an immeasurable gift to share with us all in your fascinating performances. Keep performing-it is your gift to share.

Joan Baez - now THAT is a voice!!!!!!!!!! I always figured that she and Dylan were severely jealous of each other - she was jealous of his writing - and he was jealous of her singing!!!!!!!!
