Joan Jett wears the 30 years since this song came out really well. She looks great, sounds great, love her smile at the end - very cool. She owns a very, very important place in rock history. She deserves it. This is really one of the great punk songs ever. Right up there with the Ramones, the Pistols, the Clash - Great, great song.

The Ramones and Johnny Thunders are clear influences, the song is a classic Ramones style chord progression/tempo. The lead guitar player (and Joan) were clearly influenced by Johnny Thunders as well, you can tell because the lead guit player is playing a guitar JT was famous for and the small intricacies of his playing in this song were Johnny Thunders influenced as well.
