Hi Joan, I'm in the last year of my clinical days for being a dental student. From what I see, you may have TMJD (Temporomandibular joint disorder). I prefer you to check to specific dentist, like oral maxillofacial surgeon. By looking at it, the dentist will check your TMJ movement and will require an additional X-ray to diagnose your TMJ disorder. Not saying botox can't help you. But I prefer you to check again with the dentist since your symptoms of TMJ may worsen over time if you do not seek treatment and it'll negatively impact the quality of life. The dentist will help your TMJ by either repositioning or repairing the articular disc of the joint. Have a great day, Joan! Hope this helps you!

@@natsukashiilove2470 yes, she already knew about TMJD since she said it on her video. but I personally think she went to a general practitioner dentist not the oral maxillofacial surgeon one, that's why I suggested her to go there to check her TMJD :)

Hey Joan, I also struggle with TMJD (exclusively on the left side of my jaw) and have tried a couple of therapies. Professional massages, wearing a dental splint during the night etc. The massages of course were nice but didn't really do much for my TMJD. The dental splint worked ok, but my TMJD doesn't really seem to be caused by teeth grinding but rather by a generally bad (jaw/head) posture and probably also stress. What really helped me was fixing my tongue posture. I started mewing 2 years ago and ever since then, it's been seriously a night and day difference for me. The pain/weird tingly sensation is not completely gone but most of the time I don't really notice it at all. Only when I get really stressed etc. it can sometimes get worse but it is so much more bearable compared to how it was before. The only thing I changed was keeping my tongue at the roof of my mouth and so far it has worked great for me. You might want to look into that and see whether that is an option for you or not. The plus is that it can be a really cheap and effective alternative. However, one negative aspect is that it might not work for those whose upper dental arch width is too narrow so that the tongue can't properly fit when the mouth is closed. Also happy Scorpio season to all my fellow Scorpios out there :)

Ouch, that doesn't sound good. If it were just passing TMJD alone I wouldn't be so concerned, but with it being a chronic condition by now, the extreme pain, sensitive stomach and frequently occurring muscle spasms I would have gone get checked for fibromyalgia. You're starting to rack up a lot of classic symptoms, and it' always better to rule it out if it turns out that's not what it is. Take good care of yourself.

I'm glad you found something to help you with the pain. I also totally get the cracking sound in your jaw that no one else can hear but its SO loud in your head. I get it once in awhile when I yawn really big and my jaw even gets a little stuck and I have to force it closed if I yawn too wide. Looking forward to your next vlog!

Your videos are always a great start of a new week! Even when you have not much to do, it's nice to listen to you talking. Btw the cracking sound thing you have with your jaw, I have something similar in my right shoulder when I raise my arm, it makes a crack sound and it feels like it's continiously dislocating and stuff which is a frustrating feeling. I haven't done much with it as it only happens when I fully raise my right arm, but a physiotherapist once said my arm is too flexible for my shoulder or something. Have a nice week 😊!

I experience the popping sound on my jaw too! Sometimes I even get anxious whenever I need to eat or brush my teeth because I'd have to move my jaw for it. Huhu! Glad to see you're also getting treatment and taking cafe of yourself!

I have bruxism (similar but less painful than tmj) and wearing a night guard really helped. Dentist also suggested botox but I’m scared to get it because plastic surgeons where I live are not really good 😜 your vlog was very relaxing

Was it only me that did a replay when the lady was putting the needle in and when she loosen that tourniquet lol. I work in healthcare so that was satisfying to watch 😁 hope you feel better after the botox Joan! And yes too much vit c can mess up your kidney so go easy on getting those IV shots.
