It’s so cold. Everything is in a deep freeze all I want to do is get warm.
I may have gone overboard in the latest JoAnn sale purchasing enough yarn to make 3 blankets.
What was I thinking?

I agree, JoAnn usually has better deals on yarn. Plus, getting free shipping doesn't require you to spend $100+

Free shipping, deeply discounted, how could I say No? I exercised restraint by not grabbing another 20-30 of the big twist value at $1.87 with all the sakes and discounts. Sanity sorta prevailed when I realized those are big skeins too, where would I put it?

If I pushed that button every time I filled a yarn cart we’d need another house to store it all. There is so much joy just going through, hunting the perfect yarns, and dreaming of all the projects. I don’t always have to have it in hand. Just searching it out is joyful

All I can say is it’s good to have a good job to support my “habit”. So far I’ve been able to maintain everything in this one room. Taking advantage of sales on “large” skeins doesn’t help with that plan. I may have to have some overflow . . . It’s a slippery slope 🤣

It was the $3.75 down from $9.99 that got me. I really couldn’t decide on the color to get. These are big balls of yarn that don’t tuck away so easily either 😆

Hey Shannon! I never thought of making a blanket with Wool Ease… it will look terrific as your colour choices are so good (as usual). I tend to make my blankets out of acrylic or soft cotton. I thought of you yesterday as I am making a cardigan and I finished the body yesterday. I tried it on and seriously contemplated making it sleeveless… have a great day!

The vest influence, I love it. The sleeves for hubby’s sweater are 19 inches, I think a few more inches to go then off to the body.

Oh, you got bit with he big worse then I did? I have some of the Herrschners neon yarns that I’ve not tried yet. Maybe that will have to change soon.

Goodness, I must have been under a rock somewhere. How did I not know about your channel? Girl we are same same! Love the colors of the blankets you’re projecting into the atmosphere. I can feel one raining down on me to make. Wowza! It’s a good thing I’m the only one in the house who crochets, it could get seriously dangerous in here too quickly that’s for sure. Toodles! ♥️🧶

@@anotheryarn if you’re making an adult blanket out of the Yellow and Black be prepared for a very heavy blanket. So you ask how I know?? I made a Packers blanket for a coworker and I’m sure it can double as a weighted blanket.! 😳

@@glingrams I get it. Did you knit or crochet your blanket and what size? Im looking at a twin 60x90. I have 6 each the fair use and brushed acrylic. If I were to use all 12 skeins it would weigh just shy of 4 pounds. I did a test swatch on size 9 needles getting 4 stitches to the inch. No clue how far one skein goes.

@@TheGardenAndWormLady Definitely my kind of person. We don’t eat out often either. Yarn is better. I don’t smoke, again, yarn is better. A lot of the things people might do, yarn is better. I have my hobby and hubby has his. We each have a room since the kids are grown and gone. It works for us.

That's me I'm one of the crazy people making a king size blanket. Not 1 but 2. Waiting on the yarn for the 2nd one. I like that wool ease. Have not seen the fair isle one or the brushed red heart. Where have I been lol. I love the sales at Joann's. I sure hope they don't go out of business.

I was asking my husband what size blanket to make. I think a twin 60x90. He is 6’1” so wanted it longer then he is tall. I’ve done a gauge swatch so I don’t inadvertently cast on a King Size. Oh yeah, I’m crazy enough to want to knit an adult blanket. I’m sure I’ll regret that sentiment 🤣

I am also making my hubby a blanket out of bernat blanket phasing yarn. A bulky 6. 6 cakes for it and I am about to start cake 5. It is a 60 x 54 so more reasonable on size. Will have to do a row here and there while doing the wedding gift blanket so I can get it done.

I’ve only got a couple tutorials at the moment, both are for very fast easy crochet items. A flower or mini pumpkin 🎃 treat holder. I created another playlist of those two items to make them easier to find.

Omg laughing with you entire way thru. When we couldn't get out for 2 days with snow I found myself on Joann site. Next thing over 50 skeins in my cart. 😶lol They had my Party yarn back and color Beach that I thought never see again $3ish down from $7( got 10👀😂). And like you said reg Big Twist $2. Also with that coupon couldn't resist some new Prym hooks. Saved over 60% on everything. Now waiting on all the shipments they split it in at least 6 ugh but helps to get it in my much needs cleaning craft room. Oh and I got something fun for storage. $5 wreath storage plastic container and I figure I can make a color wheel of my Amigrumi yarn so I can see and get to it easier!💖💖💖 Rock on! Loving your videos.

Oh, I saw that with the Party line. I have a bit of a collection of that line too. I e made a couple sweaters with it already. I really liked it. My cart is still full of Big Twist yarn. Happy I split it up and didn’t get those too. That’s a lot to find a home for at one time. My room is due for an organization too.

With the additional coupon and $3.75 each I couldn’t choose just one color. These are big balls, they don’t tuck away like my fingering wrist hanks do.

I think you got some great deals! I can't wait to see the purple one. I have that problem with Schitt's Creek, 6 for $12! Over 300 yds of soft squishy goodness! I have lots in several colors, so now I need to find a place for it, I'm out of cubbies! 😂 Stay warm! 💙

It’s why I collect the fingering weight yarn. You can pack a lot of that away in one cubby. Those big Lion brand skeins, you can’t hide those away as well. How can you pass up those huge sales? Especially since most yarn has risen through the roof

That is 100% me. I don’t have room for all the carts in all the yarn sites I’ve got full. I was having FOMO (fear of missing out) before pushing the button. Once I pushed the button the realization hit, where does this go? I don’t know how many skeins I purchased, two boxes and one I it’s way. I really did it this time

I’m going to be very interested to see if I like it. I rest hope so as I’ve got a lot more coming. There were 7 of each in that box (red heart brushed and Wool Ease Fair Isle). The next box will be bigger, it’s a full purple blanket and the contrast colors for the golden/taupe blanket. Those are big skeins, they don’t tuck away like my others do 😆

Yesterday was the first day in a week that it wasn't snowing. My son left his phone at his grandma's 45 minutes away. That was over a week ago and we finally got it yesterday.

@@anotheryarn my oldest was 14 because he was in hs band and we wanted a way to communicate with how busy he was. I wish I would have done a different kind of phone but it wasn't so bad with the flip phones he started on. My youngest is the youngest that got a phone and he has very limited options. He was 13. Most of my kids got them when they got jobs or school commitments.

Definitely smaller 🤣. I’m past 300 stitches per round on my knit Boggy Creek blanket. The more I knit on it the more it daunts me for an a daily blanket 😊. I’m still making one though

Let’s not get crazy with the accessories now 🤣. The blanket(s) is daunting enough. I also tend to purchase thinner yarns with lots of yardage, they are smaller and you can hide them away easier. These are in my face 🤣now what do I do?

@anotheryarn I got 2 in myc last fall and I knitted a hat and crocheted slippers. And said never again . I sneeze the whole time I was using it and rubbing my nose it was terrible. It is nice and soft, but never again. I hope it works well for you.

I’ve tried to contain everything in my yarn room and not let it spill out to the rest of the house. The yarn is so insulating you can feel the quiet when you walk in. It’s a happy place
